The Russian government and Norwegian government both released official statements. It is not just the media reporting this. Also, missiles do not "create wormholes". Wormholes have never been proven to exist. The phenomena you saw was the dissipation of debris left by the missile. I have seen this before, and many simulations have documented this same phenomena.
