  • lol... riding downtown with bicycle... Hands on the handlebars, boombox strapped to the back rack.... swag!

  • @zevdwg i did that last summer... =D

  • what you build is awesome but why does it sounds so flat and cheap?;s

  • I never understood the whole purpose of the port. Years ago stereo people told me porting a speakers was "tricky" because the size and the length of the of the tube inside the port affected the bass sound. Can you explain how to port a speaker?

  • @moofushu I don't fully understand it but it is much more complicated than most people realize. It has to do with aligning sound waves so they are harmonious. You can tune a port by ear by varying the length of your port until it sounds good. Or if you have access to the measuring tools and software you can calculate it. I think a lot of people just throw a port on and because the can feel the air coming from it, they erroneously think they are making it louder or lower or something like that.

  • @bdw02c Thank you. I'm on my way to building one with a head unit. I think I will be using the "Transmission line" design for my boombox. I'm using a computer power supply unit to power the head unit and maybe some 6x9 speakers. Thanks for replying I am still interested in porting the case. I might do more research. Live loud!

  • you rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song brings me back to when rap was real

  • why don't you reply? PLEASE MAKE ME ONE!!!!!

  • @ItsBenaWhile13 i can't make anymore that are like the bass boombox. because i don't have a work shop. and i would sell some of my boomboxes besides this one because i really like the mono boombox. but i'm not sure it i can mail them because how they are wired and have lead acid batteries in them. and the US mail doesn't like this. and they are custom boomboxes which have allot of battery power and can be dangerous if modified or charged improperly

  • yo man! how much did it cost to build this?

  • @passion4music793 i built this out of old amps and speakers i wasn't using but if i had to put a dollar amount it would be somewhere 350.00 to 400.00$

  • where can i buy?

  • How much do you sell these for?

  • Do you sell any of your boomboxes? These sound way better than anything you could buy in a store!

  • @861147 yes i have sold . and i want to sell most of them. if i did i could make more unique boomboxes in different designs

  • LOOKS LIKE YOUR VERSION OF THA JVC 550! THAT'S REAL MAN!

  • i used a rechargeable 12 volt 7 amp sealed lead acid battery

  • Very nice.. Question what you use for batteries

  • What amps did you use to get the speakers working

  • @xNickerishx i used an aura 2 channel sub amp 50 watts times 2 and a clarion 50 watt full range mono amp

  • Where did you buy your port on top?

  • @Machine217 i bought the port at parts express web site

  • @Jamesstargate1 Thanks. Great site that I didn't know existed. My boombox consists of car audio parts and is set up for beach and boat applications.
