  • what the fuck is going on here!!!!

    im so fucking scared

  • Does this happenen because the non-reflecting monitor screen is already polarized? So what happen is that if you put two polarized in two different angulations no light can pass, isn't it?

  • @BubuSnow93

You're almost right. Except this monitor is not anti-reflective. Its glass acts like a polarized filter, so when I put polarized glasses in front of it, I can block light when I find the right 90° angle. That's why this effect should not occur (I didn't try) on GPS screens: a GPS doesn't have a glass (or glass-like) screen, so it's not polarized.

  • thats bloody wicked got to get myself polarised sunglasses yeah

  • Can you see a GPS screen through Polarized glasses when you're driving?

  • @Pokonoinoi

I believe that a GPS screen is usually of a different type. I don't know that name, but this type is not affected by a polarized glass. Nice question, anyway.

  • Did a video on my channel explaining and experimenting a bit more with this concept if your intrested.

  • when you know how a pixel works life gets better. LOL

  • hello i need your assist

did you mean once i buy this polarized glasses like odinarly polarize and we can watching the movie 3D in polarize will effect same like cinema 3D ?? did this logical are same ? i mean did their work ? cause i have download Avatar 3D for polarize version but i had not yet buy this glasses yet . please help :)

  • @paopaowellwell

No, if you will buy polarized glasses you fill find them unuseful. Don't buy. You could watch a 3D movie only with special hardware, i.e. a set of all these three: (1) a 200Hz (minimum) monitor, (2) specific graphics card, (3) active glasses (NOT polarized glasses).

  • @KarmaProdItalia

    Thanks sir

i though it was same logic can see through over polarized 3D movie :)

  • nice one

  • WTF :0uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh

  • this may clear a few things up:

-google and go to physicsclassroom and on the top left you should find "physics tutorials," click on that and scroll down to "Light waves and Color," click under the Lesson 1 section on "d) Polarization"

(sorry I would have just given you the link but for some reason youtube was telling me I had an error)

This provides some good conceptual introductory information about the world of particle physics!

Feel free to explore the rest of the site

    Cheers!

  • i got the same glassses but i dont know with what type of 3d video they work someone can give me a link please or help me ?

  • YOUR SCREEN BECAME INVISIBLE HOLY FUCK.

That was awesome, this could be used in many ways. :D

  • I think its fake

  • @DoubleKMovies haha ,, it's not fake , Those are polarized glasses .....you'll probably learn it in your 12th grade physics google ( Polarization of light)

  • @DoubleKMovies Not FAKE! That's true. All lcd panels have two polarize film. You can tried the other lcd device panel. Maybe lcd watch or cell phone. Try...

  • @DoubleKMovies Not FAKE! That's true. All lcd panels have two polarize film. You can tried the other lcd device panel. Maybe lcd watch or cell phone. Try...

  • Thank you.........

  • i wonder what would happen if you put a polarized film over your monitor and looked at it through polarized glasses... TIME TO GOOGLE IT! :P

  • @commetsmasher In theatre (if using polarized glasses) you can see a 3D movie because on the screen are shown 2 frames each time: one left and one right, at the same time, with different (ortogonal) polarizations. Your LCD monitor can show only 1 frame at a time, always with the same polarization. So no way. Only thing you can use is alternate left and right frames with a fast framerate.

  • hi there..i purchased reald3d polarized 3d glass from eBay... but i m not able to see 3d effect using stereoscopic player..please help me...Is there any settings to be modified... I m using QUADCORE PC with 22inch LCD Monitor...and i m using Nvidia 8400 graphic card...

    Pls help!!!!

  • it did not work

  • how come is black colour ?? then why still can watch the other side of screen

  • LIKE A MAGIC OFF SWITCH

    lol

  • I wonder if it would work if you use polarized glasses to achieve 3D on a monitor as follows: you overlaid a material with tiny polarized strips interleaved. you'd need special drivers similar to how NVidia 3D vision works. If it worked it would have the benefit of full color without active shutter technology that they want you to have 120hz monitors for....

  • @Web1234512345 It may have some issues to solve, but seems a good irea

  • omg , WTF ?! Thats soo cool ! xD

  • =) i paid over 50$ for this !!! thought it works 3d!! it pointless ! how does it work ?

  • Comment removed

  • I had these glasses from a movie and I went to look at my iPod and everything was in rings of colors. It wasn't all black

  • Ok what have we learned on this video :

    1) with polarized glasses, the colors change initially

    2) then picture disappears

thumbs up if you learned the same lessons.

  • All LCD Monitors use a panel with Polarized filter, turn the glasses so the ear rests point at the monitor and rotate the glasses they should both block when you hit the corect angle , because the filter varys on some displays the angle and orentation may vary as well , I found Color shifts with the glasses rotated with the ear rests pointed away from the display, and total light block on both eyes with the ear rests pointed at the display using Real D circular polarized glasses when rotated

  • The only reason this happens is because there is a polarised filter inside the LCD screen and this is why one eye sees black.

  • i very very weakly speak English & i have two questions.

1.Do this glasses worki in LCD monitor?

    2. Do glasses tnij org/ir3q work in ordinary lcd monitor?

    Parametrs:

    The effectiveness of polarization 99,7%

Transmittance 43,5% From above very thanks for reply

  • its not FAKE all u have to do is wear a pair of polarized glasses too and the other on the lcd

  • Haha, LOL @ pivotmaniac567 who thinks this is fake!!! LMAO!

Clearly has no understanding of basic physics and how polarization works...

  • works for mine i took em from an aquarium movie

  • ...im watching this vid with those glasses on... no black at all

  • I just tried this with my glasses from Avatar and it didn't work the same. I tipped mine at about a 45 degree angle, and both lenses turned black. I thought the way 3D worked, only one eye should be black. Any ideas?

  • @DarthHater100 It seems strange to me too. Maybe you have not polarized glasses, but active 3D glasses (more info on Wikipedia "3D glasses" ). Are they heavy and with a (hidden) battery?

  • @DarthHater100 different monitors have different polarizations. 0, 45, and 90 are all common. Check out how it looks through the other lens.

  • @DarthHater100 polarization 3D systems work by displaying two images at the same time with different polarizations and using the glasses (one lens is usually 90 degrees from the other) to filter them for the correct eye, creating the binocular disparity our brains are so used to interpreting as depth.

  • @DarthHater100 , the reason it did not work for you, like it did in this video because you had a different kind of polarised glasses. There are two kind, linear, and circular. The one in this video is linear polarised, and DarthHater100 one are circular polarised. The circular one are of a newer technology and better. So when you tilt your head in the theatre, the 3D effect does NOT go away. With the linear ones if you tilt your head the effect goes away. You can see why, in this video.

  • @DarthHater100

LCD monitors use different polarizing layers, i've got one where turning the glasses any way will do nothing.

  • its not fake, i have a pair of these glasses also and it's doing the exact same thing

  • it's not fake you noobs

pff you don't know anything about science

  • lol i walk out with the glasses all the time, ha i have over 20 pairs now :P

  • yellow and blue for meh

  • i tried walking out with my avatar glasses, manager caught me

  • i dont get it

  • true dat

  • @pivotmaniac567 Maybe you have never tried polarized glasses. It seems magic, but it's real!

  • @KarmaProdItalia Just got back from avatar, im gonna try it

  • @KarmaProdItalia

yeah, it is not fake but it is also not magic but can be well explained by optics based on electromagnetism.

  • @pivotmaniac567 its not fake. your fake.

  • @pivotmaniac567

It's real I just did it. Cool Video thanks for sharing.
