If you take proper care of your battery and store it correctly, you won't have to worry about your battery exploding like the above video.

Store your battery in something made of thick metal, like an ammo box or something fireproof. If your battery does decide to explode, it won't hurt anything. Also, ALWAYS be present while your battery charges.

Lipos can be bought for much cheaper, and they will work just as well and pose no safety concerns if you treat and store them correctly.
