Funny... Gene Simmons mentioned Karen Carpenter in his book KISS and Makeup. In this book Gene tells the story of how he's slept with over 4,600 women. Many of them well known women such as Cher and Diana Ross. Gene attempted to get Karen Carpenter into the "sack" but Karen turned him down and opted to spend a few hours engaging in intellectual conversation with him. Simmons commented that Karen is quite a fascinating conversationalist.

I heard that too, some time ago. BTW: dont sell Karen short. . .that gal could flat spank those drums ! ! ! She often refered to herself as a singer, who just happened to play the drums ! !
