Here's a thought. Maybe the Israelis--if they ARE responsible for terminating Mabhouh--WANTED to leave a trail. Israel wants to send a message when they target a high profile individual for termination. If the operation went off without ANYONE noticing, there wouldn't be half the publicity Mabhouh's has actually received. The fear factor.
