  • @Guanosoft You're retarded

  • Shinra Tensei!!!

  • 6 for ass slap

  • @RebelGuy95 someone is a smarty pants :P

  • Its the Gamma (Xrays) radiation that causes lots of harm. A nucular blast

    emits all kinds of radiation.

  • mmm excess radiation.. my tumour is bigger than yours....and im balder...

  • Oh that was fun. Why is my hair falling out?

  • I'm going to weigh in to the misunderstanding of fallout and radiation here:

Awesome. That would be something to tell the two-headed grandkids about.

  • Lets just sit here and watch the nuclear bomb. (DipShits)

  • WARNING! The Disney Nuclear Explosion Experience™ is not recommended for those with heart problems

  • I'd like to feel that sitting in an N.B.C suit!

  • arent they gona get radiation...

  • A picknick party in the sun with a nuke going off?...nukes arent that bad afterall..

  • 0:04 Woman in red shirt.. watch her hat.

  • Ah, ignorance is bliss. I bet if your tracked all them down, them or their children and/or their children's children are going to have defects/cancerous effects and the ppl there will wonder "Why am I getting this weird burn?" or "Why is that lump getting bigger?"

  • Wont that wave irradiate them ?

  • @Botev1912Botev The long and short answer is no.

  • @Botev1912Botev

    haha not close enough

  • What size bomb was it and what range were the observers at?

  • @I1FUCKING1HATE1VEVO1 Engineer here. That's not how shock waves work. They lose energy as they propagate from the source. The people were stationed quite far away.

  • amagin a shock wave on the moon

  • @I1FUCKING1HATE1VEVO1

    Dude...it's a shockwave

It's weak because they were so far away from the blast

They were within 50-100 miles away from the blast

  • @I1FUCKING1HATE1VEVO1 shock waves vary in intensity.

  • Good vid but shit shockwave

  • Come to the 5th Annual American Atomic Picnic Extravaganza! Bring your wife! Hell, bring your kids!

  • MONKEYS JUMP

  • hey drbuzz, I am very interested in this footage, I would like to know where did you get it from, so I could see the whole sequence, thank you!!

  • This shows you nuclear weapons arent that big of a deal. Look how close they are to the blast. Radiation isent a problem, you just take potassium iodide pills, wash yourself with soap and water.

nuclear weapons should still be used in war.

  • @macabre12345 this is a VERY small nuclear bomb.

  • Mmm. Taste that Strontium-90!

  • how dare you cover your self radiation will kill you..

  • 0:04

    Nuke: NO HAT FOR JOO!

  • no wonder americans are so fucked up in the brains al that nuke testin the radiation

  • @Unitor677 And the Russians and Chinese?

  • It's just the shockwave. There is no radiation in it.

  • @yann33fr

you're right, radiation comes with the flash, at the spped of light, much faster than shockwave. by the time shockwave reached them, they were already exposed

  • @djape1977 I thought the fallout (small grains from uranium) made the radiation, no radiation unless there is a source, they dont reach very far.

  • @JVC7400 everything for about 10 miles around is exposed to radiation at the moment of explosion. everything that is exposed becomes radioactive. closer the object to the blast is, more radioactive it gets. also, some materials get more radioactive than others, metals in particular. every micro particle of metal (iron in your red blood cells for example) becomes a source of radiation.also, air and dust within that shockwave were in the blast radius and therefore are also highly radioactive.

  • @djape1977 There is no "air and dust within that shockwave." A shockwave is a medium for carrying energy, not mass. Think about a sound wave. When you talk, you're not moving air molecules from your vocal chords to whoever you're talking to, you're creating a pressure wave to move the energy. I believe most of the particles in the blast radius end up in the mushroom cloud and become fallout.

  • Nothing like a nice dose of radiation in the morning. And they are considered Americas best generation?

  • WOW!!!

  • Actually, isn;t the shockwave in this video simply the sound wave of the explosion finally reaching the observers as they are miles away?

  • @JamesTClement Kind of, but it's a bit more complex than that. Basically, a shock wave is a buildup of pressure waves (sound waves). Shock waves have the distinction of being allowed to propagate faster than the speed of sound. They are basically nature's way of allowing discontinuities in a flow, which is why you instantly see wind velocity after the shock wave passes. It's really very cool stuff.

  • Rofl at the hat flying off the lady with the red top

  • @Billarn LOL

  • COOL

  • instant cancer in 3...2..1...

  • @Guanosoft u don't get cancer from the shockwave of the blast, the nuclear fallout guarantees cancer if u are in the vicinity of it....

  • @etiennexmd13 no. i'm not an expert, but as far as i know there is a gamma ray burst traveling at lightspeed away from the explosion...

my mathteacher once said: "People say you have to duck and cover, when a nuclear bomb is exploding, thats bullshit! you should climb on a tree and watch it 's deadly beauty, 'cus you only get to see it once anyway."

  • @Guanosoft lmfao...u got a point :)

  • @TheKILLAHUNT X Rays, Beta & Gamma rays are very similar things with different origins. Beta & X rays would not have reached these observers. It is the fallout ingested & breathed in that is so dangerous, lots of alpha emiting elements stuck to the dust. 15K people have died as a direct result of the Nevada tests.

  • wtf why them people sitting in nuclear blast?

  • @skateboy159 They were test subjects, they just didn't know it.

  • @californiakid521 lol maybe

  • @skateboy159 INSTANT TANS

  • @9DragonMaster tan cancer lol

  • Boom! Third ear

  • All this idiots probably did not know about the radioactive waste that comes after the explosion . . . Hello cancer to them

  • I feel sorry for that ladies hat. Thrown about such.

  • mmmm...gamma rays

  • Long live the downwinders!

  • LOL the camera man was prolly like: Now Everybody, On 3 say: CANCER!!!

    1,2,3.. (Boom) CANCER!!! =D

  • I'd be happy to soak up the radiation just to see one o these go off..come on,,who wouldn't be happy with a few extra arms n eyeballs in later life....

  • Electro Magnetic Impulse!

  • thats right thick brainwhased fools sit there and suck that radiation up lol...

  • @Dragonstud, the brainwashed fool is you. Do you really believe there's any significant amount of radiation in the overpressure wave? You'll get a larger radiation dose from eating a banana. (Yes, bananas contain radioactive K-40)

  • @ttowntom lol if you knew anything about radiation, ..go back to skool 101

  • You just keep embarrassing yourself, don't you? Gamma radiation is the only form of radiation which would arrive so quickly. And, since a typical nuclear blast releases about 8X as much thermal energy as it does gamma, if you're far enough away to not feel the thermal pulse, you won't get an appreciable gamma dose.

The real danger from a nuclear blast is from alpha radiation. For that, you have to ingest or inhale fallout particles...which take anywhere from hours to weeks to arrive.

  • Have fun with cancer idiots

  • For a great documentary on a depiction of the Hiroshima Bomb look for Tableau No.2: 8.15AM.MON.6AUG.1945

For a great documentary on a depiction of the Hiroshima Bomb

look for Tableau No.2: 8.15AM.MON.6AUG.1945 in My Videos Section.

Directed by multi award winner, Ike Ong DGGB.

  • ""earth was square""

7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

thats why astronauts turn to God after seeing the earth upon nothing and written thousands of years ago. in enoch he specifically describes the earth as round and that the earth and the sun and moon and the luminaries would never change their course till the end

  • ""women were witches"" in the simpsons lisa (girl) goes searching after wicca (witches) harry potter "wizards and witches" movie hmm your kids are being indoctrinated while they mock God

  • They don't receive any radiation from the shockwave. Gamma rays travel the speed of light, it's the flash that's dangerous. (and the dust at ground zero).

  • It was all a big fireworks show back then....

  • wow wtf did they want to have cancer or something

  • LOL :D look how ILL are peoples , we invited this worst weapons ever and peoples going watch it like fuckin Cinema

  • really cool footage, where's the rest?

  • wait wtf how in the world did people get into an arguement about god from this?

  • What idiots.!

  • cancer

  • @iuliusceasar lol

  • @iuliusceasar xDDD

  • @iuliusceasar Observers are outside the "blast radius" moroon, only thing they will get is some sand

  • @iuliusceasar lol

  • Badass blast.

If people are gonna talk about religion or smack about God, say something original for once then and quit with the "oh why wouldnt he help the mom from getting raped?" etc.. That's all retarded questions that can be answered reading Scripture but no, that's not "interesting" enough, only your opinion seems to make "sense".

Enjoy the video and stop with copycat anti-religious slams.

  • well he doesnt love the woman then if he let her get raped. but isnt he supposed to love all his children?

  • i really find that this argument is stupid but i thought i should just point out the fact that the soviet union was the creator of the tsar bomba, the most powerful bomb ever created and as we all know the soviet union was based on communism which rejects any form of religion. to make wild accusations on religions based on personal viewpoints is ignorance. its like calling every muslim a radical extremist because of 9/11. ignorance is what causes war, not religion...

  • That's a generality. Not every religous person is a fanatic. But ya, I guess so long as there is religion, there will be fanatics. You got me there. I'd personally would rather be rid of religion...

  • We all have beliefs, and of course it is perfectly fine to beloved in god there is nothing wrong with it. I personally have no belief that any single god or gods conjured up by the human race actually exist. Religion isn't going to hold us back, but people who believe progressive things that are against thier religion are what really slows us down.

  • Religion is the scourge of our humanity. It's for people who are AFRAID of death. Afraid to face it alone and afraid to give into the truth that there is no magical place where you walk around after death. Everything from war to near genocide have been caused in the name of 'God' or whatever. And if you people can't see that, maybe this whole "Modernized Society" is not right for you.

  • @Wammykablam Religion(christianity) may have its faults, but it paved way to law and order in modern society. Think about it if the 10 commandments were not created it would take alot longer to create laws and live in the society we live in now. Besides do you actually think that there would be nothing after death, think about nothing. Also just because no one has actually seen god does'nt mean he does'nt exist.

  • @samuel7897 Believe it or not, there was intelligent human activity BEFORE God. The Romans, for instance, practically invented democracy in the B.C period. Then, when Christianity caught on, everything the Greeks, Romans, and French had done was thrown out the window and forgotten. You may have heard of the period known as the Dark Ages or Middle Ages. Where Christians went genocidal on Hebrews and Muslims in the "Crusade". You call what the Christians did "law"? Murder is NOT law!

  • @GabeTheSpin " B.C." as in before the coming of the saviour of the world the Christ of God his Son Jesus

    "everything the Greeks, Romans,"

    as foretold in nebuchadnezzar dream

"Christians went genocidal on Hebrews and Muslims in the "Crusade". "

order by "PAGAN" roman catholic church

"pagan" sun worshippers "witches" earth/sun worshippers

aztecs were pagan who sacrificed there children

  • @icelez

This new Before Common Era and Common Era thing is pathetic. What is so 'common' about the years after 1 BC? If the world wants to turn atheist, then change the year numbers as well. I suggest the fall of the Roman empire -- AD 476 -- because this was the end of the ancient times and the beginning of the Middle Ages. That would make this the year 1532 Modern Era. Still, I prefer BC and AD because I'm Christian.

  • @GabeTheSpin Yes but still the great societys that have every lived still had a religion and they each had laws and boundaries that kept people in order. As for the Cusade period that was war and from my knowledge there is no law in war (pardon the rhyme). Also there is still a Crusade-like period in the past hundred or so years, ever heard of hitler, al qaeda maybe, so its not just limited to christians. Every cultrue has had is 'Dark side' but i stand by what i said that christianity 'read on'

  • these nukes are crazy shit!!!

  • they may be laughing there, but they are all probably dead now

  • hahah yep

  • lol

  • Why does the boom sound so muffled? Shouldn't it be sharper?

  • that wasnt a bomb that was me ripping ass after mexican food.

  • that does NOT look safe

  • It's nice to know our government has our best interests at heart. Of course they would have no idead that being close enough to feel the shockwave of a nuclear device would possibly come with health ramifications.

  • Yeah, it's a goddam shame YOU weren't there

  • Typical little dicked, scared-of-his-own-shadow, neocon, Bible-thumping Jesus freak Republiturd. If only we could somehow get all the Christian-right here in the U.S. and all the Radical Muslims in the Middle East together in some sort of Mad Max Thunderdome contraption so they could rip each other new asses, thinking that some fucking made up GOD they believe so highly of, will save them in the end. Asswipes.

  • What makes YOU special? Think, in some Mansonesque fantasy, you'll be left to claim the world when all's said and done? My God says He'll intervene and wipe the bastards out when the time comes; what says YOURS? Wonder why it is basterds with no beliefs have such trouble with those who do?

  • "My God" says he'll intervene??? Seriously, how otherwise intelligent adults buy into this shit is beyond me...nice "God" you've got yourself there...either he shame/scares you into believing in Him, or you'll suffer in total damnation...if thats what you call your Lord and Savior, thanks but no thanks. I mean, we have the Virgin birth, the talking snake, Adam and Eve...Moses parting the Red Sea...sometimes i think the Easter Bunny or Zeus is more believable than the rubbish you aspire in.

  • Well they're both available so have your choice. I don't see anything wrong with either of them

  • @quazimutato he is accually

  • @quazimutato You better throw EVERY religious person on the planet in there, not just radicals, because they all believe in God so if you think their belief is bad because God is "made up" then everyone else's is as well since it'd still be a "made up" God!!!!!

  • I happen to believe that in order for mankind to truly advance the human cause, religion, and all its racism, bigotry, homophobia, and any other ignorant metaphors you care to use, must die.

  • @quazimutato But you're not just attacking "Religion" in your post, but also after another human being here. And what's this about racism, etc. as "ignorant metaphors"?

  • @mike4ty4, I agree with quazimutato. If you religious people god has control over everything, why do some young children watch their mothers get raped and murdered or why does a drunk driver kill an innocent, straight A student. Dont you think, us as Humans, the most advanced species, should be past believing in magical being that knows all and created everything we see. You say you can explain this 'God' , you probably cant even explain how the components of your cell phone works...

  • @Wammykablam I'm not trying to create an argument here to "prove God exists" or "explain God" (where do you get that from?) I'm talking about the way it _seems_ "quazimutato" treats religious PEOPLE, not religious BELIEFS, and it sounds like such negative treatment extends to them all, regardless of how they are as human beings, merely because they believe some belief he doesn't agree with.

  • We really need to grow beyond religion.

  • Both of you sound like people who have no respect or concern for their fellow human being and just want to p*ss all over them for their differences in belief.

  • God sought to save man kind always and seeks to not lose one of us

the reason destruction was ever brought was the genetic corruption of man and the corruption of the earth and most importantly the constant blood being spilt

where you argue fables and watch a bomb meant to kill the innocent who is going to save you! million iraqis died and bush say wheres them wmds whoops then obama helps increases troops in afganistan to the most in HISTORY

all those who love death hate God

  • @icelez If your God has control of everything, why cant he control "Genetic corruption"? What does that even mean. And when it comes down to it, the fact that Obama had to increase troop numbers is irrelevant. He wouldn't had to of if the Christians and Muslims and Hebrews hadn't been at each others throats for the past thousands of years. I have nothing against religion. I just cant understand how you people cant give into reason and logic and science.

  • @icelez You study and believe things in a book written when the Earth was square and science was frowned upon and women were witches. I honestly dont understand how you can believe that!

  • @GabeTheSpin ""science frowned upon"" so lets see the bible says

19 laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

20 ¶ O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: 21 which some professing have erred concerning the faith.

  • far , very far

  • how far was the bomb?? lol

  • wow that close? radiation poisoning much?

  • and this cocksucker lughing fuck em

  • Wadiation... Is this some Bugs Bunny Shit ?

You will get Wadiation you silly Wabbit..!!

  • OMFG!!!

    Please tell me what kind of bad-ass tourist agency includes paragraph;

-Watching nuclear blast form "sort of" safe distance!

    in the contract...

    I wann'a go,I wann'a GOOOOOOO!!!

  • The problem is that the dust being blown about may well contain fallout from a prior test. Inhaling dust from anywhere in or near the NTS is probably not such a keen idea.

  • That camera man said " shit i fucking missed that, shoulda used my cameraphone..... bollocks.........

  • ha vewy fwunny

  • sweet!!!! you can even see the wooden shack in the back shake

  • of course...without glases...they must be USAians....

  • they do not get cancer!!the shockwave does not contain radiation!!they were about 30 miles away the wadiation will not travel that far!!

  • Hold..... Hold......CANCER!

  • that waz awesome u could c the shock wave when the camera guy waz settin up

  • now they're all radioactive =)

  • Nuuu... Vilela isso q é emoção!

  • pff.. that happens everytime i fart... hehhe

  • this test is operation plumbob, priscilla 37 kilotons. My great grandad seen it.

  • cameraman scene = fucking epic

  • id do this every time im on the john lol

  • That lady's yellow hat flew off!

  • dude holy shit u see how close that dude was in end that was closer then the desert rock iv test i just saw he probly like OMFG!

  • he's probably tick tick tickin' with rads

  • wow, what ignorant idiots. Gee, I wonder why I got me some cancer later in life???

  • The shock wave is air being pushed at a high speed, no radiation or anything. I think we can safely assume who the ignorant idiot is now.

  • one of the first rules of atomic weapons is if the blast wave hits you, you have radiation. If you see the flash you have a lot of radiation and if you don't hear it your dead already.

  • exactly mate, you basically have three phases involved in the blast. the initial wave of superheated air(heatwave) if that hasn't vapourised you then you'll be pulverised by the positive concussion blast wave and then AGAIN by the returning negative blast wave which draws you towards the still incomprehensibly hot ground zero

  • did that camera man lost his shot? =P

  • probably a non manned camera

  • Perfectly safe. Enjoy your tan.

  • the hat that the lady in red was wearing went FLYING

  • thats the atomic cannon shot

  • whoa nerds below, shut the fuck up!

  • I think we can assume that they were at a safe distance...

  • no such thing, ever heard of radiation?

  • Of course there is. Radiation is effected by distance just like everything else.

  • @2willgo lol

  • wats up with ths nerd ass comments??

    just be normal damnit

  • oke thanx for explaning

  • not if you're twenty miles away...

  • thats only if you are close enough. the shock wave loses energy as it goes out.

  • nuke shock waves go for like 50 miles kil radius is like 1-10 miles

  • rofl

  • all of them is going to have cancer

  • Comment removed

  • Look who's talking.
