Not a huge fan, but I cannot deny the beauty, or the passion that is in every note. If anyone thinks this is ugly, they are apparently Justin Bieber fans
How on earth can he call himself 'Jazzdog' and have no clue as to who Pharoah Sanders is? I bet he goes round putting the same comment on alice and john coltrane clips, leon thomas, yusuf lateef, sun ra, etc etc Hang on, hang on... I've got it. He heard Dave Bruebeck's 'Take 5' once on a commercial and now hes a self-proclaimed jazz head. Oh, that's alright then. My apologies.
Man, some people are so narrow-minded. The saxophone is THE wind instrument that has the most versatile sound as it's been proven in the past by so many great players and you would deny its shades of beauty?
Wow, hope to visit his concert next friday, feb 8th in Rotterdam and glad to hear and see how well he plays! Looking even more forward to the concert.
Good stuff! Thanks for sharing, He'll be performing there again next month...

Napkin cam!
Saw Pharoah in 94. Sonny Sharrock had just died. He paid tribute with a hand held gong that he rang until the sound waves dissipated. Really moving.

There's a place for beauty AND ugliness in art, I don't deny it. But life is short, and I choose beauty.
