Normally I don't like most of the songs people pick for their Pride and Prejudice video clips, but I must admit, this one is excellent! Very fitting for the movie...and it does not sound too modern-day or whatever. I hate when they use a Top 40 song for P&P.

@poppysmick I read the book and watched the movie and I don't think like you. I agree that the P&P (2005) doesn't follow that straight the book, but we do have the emotion. The 2 major characters are the same with regard to their personality. Really liked both (the book and the movie).

when i see this movie, it makes me think how fantasicly it was put to toghter, the dicoter did a wonderful jod casting this film, because when ever i read the book and i read this book a lot its how i imaged the chacters would be like. and the acting is very well done, you can really feel the tension betewwen them, awww now i really want to see this movie.

It is better to watch the movies before you read the books because movies tend to rip the Hell out of novels. I would not sacrifice the integrity of the book for the entertainment of people who cannot pick up good literature :)

The film is very esthetic but the script does not follow what happens in the book. I hate the namby pamby scene in the end in which they invented a piece of conversation between Darcy and Elizabeth. Jane Austen said in many letters that she hated describing long love scenes and this is not a tribute to her.

P.S.: At least the song is great, Alison Sudol's album is fantastic!

I used to think so, too...but then I kept rewatching this version of P&P, and I really warmed up to this Darcy. This guy has got more of the shyness of the character, and makes Mr. Darcy's pride seem more accidental than Colin Firth does. This guy made it look less like Elizabeth was falling in love with a gentleman, but rather a person, and that rather warmed me to him.

Also, Mr. Darcy isn't supposed to be totally crush-worthy like Colin Firth ;)
