Eh.. I fuckin love hed pe but idk about this song. Some of the lyrics are cool and the breakdown was pretty badass but Jared's singing and shit and just the sound of this song, sounds like they were tryin to go really mainstream with this one. I'm not diggin it. Sounds like an attempt on sum 41 or good charlotte or some shit like that. Deftinitely not a point in their career I look to. Just saying...
@Pyro6661 did you ever stop to think, just bare with me on this one, ever stopped to think that they might like skatepunk too? (woo big surprise) I play in a metal band and we still do offspring covers for fun ^^ wouldn't it be 'mainstream' to just keep on doing the same style that sold the most records? and that would be the 'bartender' style then. ^^ if you can't grow while making music, to change, how can people listening to you grow, change and heal? let's be angry and rage from 14-30y.o eh?
@Xenobiarch what a douch bag what metal band does offspring? HEd Pe fuckin rulz
every album shows growth.. problem is they are so far ahed of the rest of you that youll never catch up. its way beyond your intelegence bro go home and practice offspring bwaaaahaaaa!!
man it pisses me off to see people say new hed sucks. when your a musical artist your gonna do different things with different sounds. its just different times. different feelings. theyre artists. theyre gonna do different stuff.
exactly. its only natural to move on creatively. Personally, SOAD are my faveorite band, and it makes me feel the same as you when they say the new stuff isnt as good as the old etc.. because musically its different, and whether people appreciate evolution is entireley up to them ;)
OLD hed pe was the SHIT.... their new shit too political and GAY... some songs are kinda good but for the most part doesnt remotely compare to their old school shit
@cowmin cause theyre startin to become in a way like system of a down theyre trying to get people to realize how corrupt the system is and how fucked up the social system of this "equal oppurtunity" country we live in called america
I think the album Blackout isn't half as bad as a lot of people say it is, even if they were told what to do by the record company, they made the best out of it. Good riddance that they left after that, though
Great album i dont understand why no one likes it, everybody in music changes at some point, bwell i guess some people dont like change in their favorite music! Oh well it's all your opinion on the music you listen to and don't listen to
@themusicmayhem1 Yeah, most of the people always says "fuck, the old was better!". But (HED) p.e. is always changing, they got punk, metal, rapp, and even reggae.
@Killersok exactly honestly all (HED) p.e. is great.....and how they say old is better, all their music really in a way is the same just different years and different sound, but all amazing
hed fan since 97. i actually liked this album more than their recent stuff. broke is still the best. the new stuff just doesn't seem as well written. maybe it's just me
@12followgGLP na son...their self titled album is the best...the one with the blue cover....they had a cd b4 that..called churches of reality..its pretty much the same as self titled jus extended songs and different mixes. shit is sick tho
yeah around this time, rap metal was dying so every label was turning their rap metal acts into straight rock or emo rock, like papa roach did. boy people jumped off that rap metal thing like rats on a sinking ship
Since I am the only one who likely cares about this thats some amazing flat work that fellas doing on that bike...what is that a Steam Roller he does at 1;20...amazingly cool to watch! and absolutely wonderful song I love to see song with cool bike trick in the like in lots of N.E.R.D songs
I think this song, and this whole album in general, was a perfect example of how flexible Hed is as a band. It was definitely there most radio friendly album, but they still rock it hard, and several of my favorite Hed songs come from this album. Very cool video.
the chorus is pointless but the ending is stupid and a waste they shud hav cut it off just b4 the guy snaps that record and put the chorus in again ;)
hed was forced into writing this album. notice that it doesnt sound like any of their other stuff? he was forced into making clean lyrics and less rap. and the album after this one was straight hardcore cause they dipped on the record label that was holding them down.
@bayo123rocks oh and there are others also- and not the censored bullshit- you just have to pay attention. hit me up if u want me to tell u some of the others
@appleman1324 You're way fucking wrong there, they cussed in almost every single song in the first two LP's. It wasnt until Broke and Blackout that they toned it down then came back with a vengeance.
@hed9870 ya, well i didnt know too much about their old albums, i have downloaded a couple of their songs from this album, and only a couple swear, but i didnt know
@bayo123rocks "Beware Do We Go," "The Only One," "Swan Dive" only says damn once, "The Medow" i think is clean. i'm sure there's more. but these are some that come to my mind
