@bojanglesme Oh my God that was a fantastic comment! I feel the same. Of course, we're only human, so there will be times where we commit sin intentionally. What determines how good a person you are is how you rectify that sin and try to make it better. Will we pray for forgiveness? Will we forgive those who trespassed against us and try to correct our wrongdoings? It's hard, but if Jesus can suffer like that for us and STILL win inthe end, we can do this for Him. Anyway, it was a good film. One of the best i have seen in past 10 years. Very sad and moving, especially when jesus fell off and his mother, mary, approaches him and help her son to get up while on the way to golgota. I cried!

If you are a well-educated Catholic, you would absolutely know Jesus was born without original sin and therefore is incapable of sinning. And lying is indeed a sin.

As for your excuse for "misspoke", Jesus chooses his words very wisely. "I AM" is a reference to the Old Testament where God reveals himself to Moses as "I AM WHO AM."

I love this film and yes Mel took some artistic license with it but I believe it makes people think more about Christ's life, ministry, atonement and the resurrection and that is a wonderful thing especially in these days of a million and one distractions and most of them of very little true value.
