I love Dead Alive (Braindead). I normally can't stand gory movies; I've never gone near any of the Hostel or Saw movies and probably couldn't sit through them, but there is something just so perfect about Dead Alive. It's a surprisingly sweet movie underneath the swimming pools of gore, intestines, and brain-matter.

i agree. CGI has basically killed this subgenre of horror. its probably the worst thing thats ever happened to horror because people dont use it as subtlety as they should. they rely on it too much. CGI should be the icing on the cake, not the cake itself.

Do a "Goriest Films of the Past Decade" because its not just about the quantity but also about the quality. Piranha 3D, the Hatchets, Saw 7, Inside, Frontier(s), Human Centipede, Black Chrstmas (remake), Turistas. Just a start
@McBooty16 Human Centipede wasn't gory. A Serbian Film is gory, but who wants to watch that crap? In reality, "quality" applies to Dead Alive best of all. Nothing of recent gore films is really "quality", it's become all about quantity, and that would just be a boring list.
Don't watch the remake of Day of the Dead. It is horrible...they aren't "actually" zombies they are mutants like 28 days later. Better to just watch it on TV but even then you'll waste your time watching something better.
Coolduder if you want some gory movies you should check out Basket Case 1982., Basket Case 2 1990, Basket Case 3 1992, John Carpenters The Thing 1982, The Blob Remake 1988

Shawn I couldn`t agree more! I hate CGI in horror films. I think it`s way scarier and just gives a way more real feel without CGI.
