  • Hi Adam. Got to say i really like the darkness of your arrangement, reminds me a bit of Tommy Emmanuels version of Michelle...just the right amount of creepyness. :) Was going to ask what tuning you're using but just noticed someone else asked that, standard, nice. Must give this a bash :) Keep up the good work.

  • Wow Adam,

Most ethereal. Hard to get this one out of my head. Damn fine arrangement and performance.

    allen

  • Adam you Are Awesome !!! Thank you.

  • melancholy mood. LOVE the harmony! Open string harmony is killer man. Your dynamics are always special. I love the tension intervals at the end.

    Cheers,

    allen

  • Stunning as always - the best acoustic version of this that I've ever heard. Unique and beautiful.

  • This reminds me of the sound of rain.. I love it!

  • absolutely fantastic! loved the feeling and expression into everything, was very different and it really grabs you!

  • This was a haunting and mysterious arrangement. It was absolutely beautiful and intricate. I like the way you stepped out of the standard arrangement and introduced the darker themes , but kept the melody floating like a lonely spirit lingering for closure. Brilliant!

  • @pinochioII Thanks! Sometimes I wonder if anyone out there likes this one!! Al the best...

  • lol i have the same bedxD..nice played

  • This arrangement is fantastic, I love the end expecially... many thanks

  • adammmm.......hmmm

  • Beautiful arrangement! Full of feeling.

  • i love REVERB!!!<333

  • Really great interpretation of a classic beatles song. Truly inspiring.

  • inspirational man, good work

  • You're amazing bro!

Its not just the awesome talent you've got, I can feel the joy and good vibes with anything you play. You've taught me a lot dude. Keep doing what you were born to do!

  • Great!

  • Hey Adam. Beautiful textures that you put into this. It was almost like a painting. When you coming back to Scotland? Gordon

  • I would love to enjoy hearing this, i really would.

It's unfortunate that it's so quiet even at the loudest volumes I barely get a sense of what's going on.

  • @Logite Thanks for telling me, maybe I will re-record this one...- AR

  • @Logite get a better sound system, perfectly hearable and beautiful

  • @Logite hi logite maybe "my" eleanor is loud enough for you?

    regards

    jy

  • @Logite Hi logite

maybe "my" eleanor is loud enough for you?

    regards

    abjyves

  • @Logite It's hard to do harmonics loud.

  • WOW......amazing man, simply amazing

  • great arrangement....really moody.....

  • I know it's a big word but to my ears you're a virtuoso with the acoustic guitar. This is not your typical very good guitar playing. Besides your obvious technical ability, you are a true artist. I'm basically just in line with all the positive things people are saying. You're a very special musician. Thanks for the videos.

  • I was just thinking.... This sounds like a song that Rafferty would arrange/ sound good on...

And here it is. I guess I'm behind again.

  • Thats really playing the Guitar, very Artistic. I could almost see the music.

  • wow man that was bitchin. gotta love how you incorporated the harmonics

  • genioso, muito melodico e de muito bom gosto. curti demais!

  • I swear to god, I didn't know that many harmonics existed. If it were anyone else, I wouldn't believe it possible, but with Adam, I know he could do something like this. Amazing.

  • I swear this is scarier than any haunting movie I have ever watched. You have just created a sense of evil bewonderment in my room.

  • I think this is fantastic! You're one of the best on youtube man. Really enjoyed it...

  • Wow!

  • 5 stars for sure, great cover.

  • I like especially the 'Ah look at all the lonely people' section

  • Your artificial harmonics are so clean!

  • u have no idea how sexual that sounded

  • Incredible melody in harmonics- did you have to design an alternate tuning around that?

  • standard tuning!!!! thank you

  • It reminds me of that Metheny record "New Chautauqua".

  • This is nice.

  • Another fantastic rendition of a Beatles classic! Blessings, Adam! Great stuff!

  • Adam,

This is completely outstanding and thrilling. Love beatles and u made me love it even more. Its completely impossible not to love u even more playing ....

  • Thanks Carol! I was just practicing Aqualeros....trying to find just the right groove!!!! 4 U of course :-)

  • Wanna talk to u .... How about msn???

  • Its so... haunting.. And your dynamics were pretty awesome, you started off nice and soft before going louder, then back to the sweet softness.. This.. Gosh! Adam, you never fail to mesmerize me :D

  • Extremely creative - should have more views

  • Jealousy is driving me mad!!

  • Amazing Harmonics!!!

  • Amazing... so touching!

  • wonderful!!!

  • This song is great by itself,

but you just made it perfect.

Thank you for that. Thank you.

All of your arrangements are amazing thanks to your passion.

May the passion of the guitar and it's music be with you.

  • What an absolute treat to hear. It never fails to move me when i hear someone play who is so clearly 'at one' with an instrument. Fantastic. Well done.

  • agreed...im jealous

  • You are better then pat metheny.

  • damn Dr. House. super awesome

  • You, sir, are a gift. Thanks for sharing your talent.

  • harmonics were intense

  • holy crap the harmonics in the begining on the main melody verse part thing blew my brains out and splattered them all over the wall

  • Incredible. Gracias, amigo.

    Ron

  • Wow man

    this is amazing.

    Very Inspiring

    Gonzo

  • That sounds great! When I heard it for the first time, I didn't get that much into it. In my 2nd time, I watched how you were moving your hands and playing those amazing harmonics with some fretted notes and I was mesmerized. That was exceptional, Adam! That part around 3:00 with the harmonics and the little walkin'-bass is driving me crazy... how did you do that?! :D

  • hmm try paint it black

  • I request "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

  • someone "down-thumbed" you for that. i think thats horse shit. I completely agree, the acoustic version that Harrison does on Anthology, would be breathtaking done by Adam.

  • perfect man, your feeling is inspiring... what guitar are you using? brand?

  • Taylor.

  • Adam, the counterpoint was killing me - fretted lines against harmonics! Whaaat?!?!? You are a sick mother my man ...

  • Ahh, you are one of the few who can truly feel my pain. :-)

  • What an original take on this incredible tune!!! I loved every second of it!

  • adam mate i wish you lived in the uk, i would travel 50 miles a day to get lessons from you! you are literally the most inspiring guitarist ive ever seen, i hope maybe one day i can have this effect on someone else.

  • True - not that hard, but getting the C# melody note spot on ain't that easy! 16th or 4th fret A string. Good luck!- Adam

  • THOSE harmonics WOW

  • Excellent - and very different from your other music. A nice and welcome change (not that there can be too much of the other stuff).

  • Thank you for that, Mr. Rafferty, this is magic, it carries me far away every time I hear it.

  • wow. awesome. i love it this way, soft with the harmonics n all. it sounds very mysterious too, especially with the intro n outro the way u do it. that was so cool. :D

  • Do you have plan to visit Singapore? Please do and make it soon, You and TE are just amazing guitarists. TE has been here a couple of times, now we in Singapore need to have you here to hear your outrageous guitar playing style.

  • Dude! You got it going on! Very nice and emotive. Great use of natural harmonics. Peace!

  • Wow!

  • Adam I comment on a lot of your videos.... but this one hits close to home for a few reasons. First of all this is one of my favorite tunes... and secondly your use of harmonics in this version is just breathtaking.

Keep up the good work as always my friend.

  • Nice interpretive arrangement! Well done! Love you Taylor guitar too. 5* -Derek

  • Thanks Adam .I do belive you are a Tone God

  • You are a guitar freak, and i like it.

  • What a haunting version of this. I'm sure the Beatles would approve of the mood you bring to this. Nice job.

  • G R E A T

Finally the Beatles revisited - Original !

    Yeah - Just Wonderfull

    DeLaSar

  • Adam, this is such a beautiful rendition!! So smooth!! So sensitive!!! Congrats!!

  • That's awesome man !!! Beautiful, congrats and regards from Brazil

  • great job!!!

  • Damn, that was beautiful! Great work Adam - thanks so much for sharing!

  • One of the greatest guitar songs I have EVER heard.

  • amazing. really wish i could see you live.

  • This is a great example of why I say this fella is one of the top acoustic guitarists touring today. His immaculate attention to detail in his work is a testament to the lifelong ambition of this artist to make himself into one of the world's best. And it shows. P.S. - (those upper fret chimes are a bitch, aren't they, adam? :-) )

  • very delicate playing

thanks to fendermac for sending the link

  • Fantastic !!!!!!!!!

  • Very exotic and compelling, Adam. There's a YT performance of Dan Landrum on hammered dulcimer in which he plays Norwegian Wood with a merge into Rigby. Also cool. But that was a trio (2 dulcimer + 1 guitar) creating the mystique. You created that feeling solo!

    Best wishes from SoFL, ~Terry

  • Lovely! Harmonic heaven!!

  • This did give the song a "haunting" quality which I find compliments the song. Well done! :O)

  • Very cool!

  • Glorious and gorgeous.

  • Thanks for the intro to Adam's artistry, Fendermac. It's a bit like watching a

    glass-blower, isn't it? Painstakingly

controlled breaths of air into the tube,

while the hands spin molten matter

into shapes and colors of all kinds!

  • You were right Paul: this is great work.

    Thanks, lena :=))

  • beautiful, Adam. I can't wait to hear you in brussels

  • Now that is a different take on an olde classic! Interesting. Well played, as always Adam.

    JAW

  • Awesome playing! Great cover!

  • i'm glad to have discovered you.

  • Really love the version! I;m really into bealtes so i like this one very much, Your other 2 btw:P

    Robbert

  • Very sensitive - lots of feelings -

    congratulations!

  • way to go brother! you re one hell of a guitarist!

  • Love the harmonics man, great arrangement.

  • YES!!!! That's beautiful. So artistic. And with that...I think I better go practice. :-) Hope to see you in Nashville!

  • Hey Stephanie...me too. :-)

  • simply beautiful ! Bravo and thank you for sharing your talent. ;-) André

    bryan

  • Awesome!!!

  • Surprisingly different from your other arrangements. It very much bears your signature though :-)

    Thanks,

    Jeroen

  • Very intimate and dynamic version, like it a lot!

    Greetings,

    Bernd

  • Nice use of the harmonics gives the tune a lovely dynamic. Nice earthy natural sound.

    Peter 5*****

  • Also weird not to hear you 'Jazz Skat' when your playing :P

  • Always strikes me how clean your playing is.

    Great arrangement by the way.
