@TheNxtBigStar If the sims were to speak English, it is likely they’d repeat a lot of sentences/words and it would be difficult for the programmers to make them always talk sense.  Thus, Simlish. I prefer it anyway, it sort of adds to the charm.

@ninetyfour55 I think i know the answer! It's because the sims 3 game only lets you play one family per town. You have to start a new game (new town) to play a different family including the sims you moved out of the house. When you play a family in a household all other sims are non playable characters.
