Now, I don't personally like her music (and that is subjective anyway) but, she HAS grown a fair bit more humble, having your privacy and mortality stripped away from you -in any form- will most certainly humanize you. So, yes you are right, though, she wasn't always as graceful. IMHO

But I think that was because she was just starting out, she wasnt used to the whole fame/media thing and was trying to show the world she meant business and wanted to be taken seriously....now shes at a point in her career where she can get away with being more humble and down to earth. Now, I don't personally like her music (and that is subjective anyway) but, she HAS grown a fair bit more humble, having your privacy and mortality stripped away from you -in any form- will most certainly humanize you. So, yes you are right, though, she wasn't always as graceful. IMHO

@MJCrest Yes I definitely agree with you. In her early interviews, she was a lot more guarded, and (though i hate to say it), bitchy. But I think that was because she was just starting out, she wasnt used to the whole fame/media thing and was trying to show the world she meant business and wanted to be taken seriously....now shes at a point in her career where she can get away with being more humble and down to earth. If you get what i mean. :)

@mlccharlottex Most in our society like to judge by the cover... Gaga is sheer talent, genuine and down to earth to say the least. I've met so many strict christians who hate her and think she is the devil because of the way she dresses and some of her songs... Little do they realize she has done more good for humans than they'll ever imagine

@mlccharlottex She seems nice, and grateful, but she clearly IS fame-hungry and doesn't seem terribly deep. She's someone who managed to get the public imagination fired and that's what she was after. Nothing wrong with it but let's not pretend she's some messianic figure who has anything real to offer beyond a bit of glamour.

@adelllerom I completely understand why you would think that, because thats what I used to think before I was a fan. But when you start to follow her and watch all her interviews, performances etc, you see what she's really all about. This 'hideous' stuff she wears (which I dont think is hideous at all) is what makes her happy, its all her. She wears it 24/7. Its just the way she is, she was born that way.

This is sort of like saying that Prince is a rip-off of James Brown when the reality is that both James Brown and Madonna both are old enough to have a "positive" influence on this up and coming generation. Madonna has made her niche, Lady Gaga is making hers and there will be someone else to replace them in a decade or so. Both Madonna and Lady Gaga have sold over 50 million discs, so they will always be a part of history.

I was in high school when Madonna first came on the market and can remember everyone saying how she was imitating other singers. Yes, their voices are similar sounding, but let's face it, finding an "original" singer/musician is almost impossible in a world , where huge conglomerates "feed" the audience with what is considered to be a successful sound.
