Judging from some of the negative comments here it's fairly reasonable to assume at least "some" don't understand what a filabuster is. In a time long forgotten when statemens were more honorable, filibustering was useful in dealing with a really dificult bill. And now? It's just vicious. Vote your conscience, not your party. Hmm... Vote yes if you like it, vote no if you don't? Shouldn't the same standard have been observed when Bush's judicial appointments were being filibustered? Except there is a slight difference... the separation of powers. A senator filibustering an appointment infringes on the executive power of the President. A senator filibustering a bill is a completely acceptable function of the Legislative branch.

Is he talking about healthcare or the UE extension? By the way people- the UE extension comes not from employers but from the pocketbook of every tax payer in the US. Why are we taking money from ourselves to give ourselves? Twice UE has been extended, because of the 'hope' that jobs were coming down the pipe from the Stimulus package.
