Yes we have more blacks and other races working in America but the depression still continue for many blacks in this country. Never in history have i seen the GOVERNMENT has a people so control and yet you ship simple jobs overseas to countries that don't like America. Yes am speaking about America sending jobs and billions of dollars to countries so as to relax the thought of hating us. How can anyone in their right mind thinks its ok for your enemy to make everything we eat and use.
2/2 I want to see you talk back the way Clair Huxtable did, and get slapped across the face consistent with [4:34] of the Qu’ran. I also want Bill’s friends to come over and play some Poker, and you disagree with one of Bill’s friends, and Bill will say, “He’s right, his word is worth twice yours, woman!” consistent with [4.11]. That Bill Cosby would be such a card! Enlightenment could not be funnier.
I'm sure Katie Couric gave that interview. You know the "Muslim Cosby Show" brood.

Katie, only if you played the Muslim wife version of Clair Huxtable. I want to see you wear a burka during the entire series, because that’s what respectful muslim women do. I want to see lots of scenes where you don’t want sex, and your “Bill Cosby” plows his fields essentially raping you consistent with [2. 223] of the Qu’ran. Damn that’s just slap-stick comedy right there!
Yes, it looks like a depression is coming, but not for the reasons she thinks. We still have not cleaned up the mess the Republicans and the bankers created during the Bush years, and they will make sure we don't. The real estate industry is the fuse that will set off the bomb, again. We have learned nothing.
@daveharpe - you are aware that the real-estate banking policies that created the current crisis were put in place by Clinton and a Democrat-controlled Congress, are you not?
I'm not saying Bush & the GOP are lilly-white, because they're certainly not...they lacked the guts to do the right thing and repeal sub-prime lending mandates....because the Democratic leadership would have crucified them for "attacking the little man."
But make no mistake - sub-prime legislation was on Bubba, not "W."
@tmlink74 Of course, sub prime was not the problem. The real estate bubble was the problem. Sub primes only made the bubble grow a little bit bigger than it otherwise would have before it popped. Without them, it still would have happened, just a little sooner and a little smaller. Real estate prices were so high that you could rent 4 houses for the mortgage payment of one. That's nuts. The gradual deregulation from Reagan all the way to Obama was the problem. Every one of them contributed.
@daveharpe - Sub prime actually WAS the problem....at least the biggest part of the problem.
The largest force in our economy is consumer demand. In addition to creating bad debt for banking, Sub-Prime ALSO artificially boosted demand, creating an upward force on prices.
Sub-prime was not the ONLY contributing factor - but it absolutely was a MAJOR one...and had it been repealed by 2004/05, the market would've been able to correct itself without a nose-dive.
@tmlink74 Some people don't trust Wikipedia, but they say "Between 2004-2006 the share of subprime mortgages relative to total originations ranged from 18%-21%, versus less than 10% in 2001-2003 and during 2007." Youtube's server won't let me put the URL here, so go to Wikipedia and search for "subprime mortgage crisis", to see the whole article.
It's a long, complicated story, but definitely interesting. I would not buy a house today, because this isn't over yet.
@daveharpe - and you really think that has no effect?
Simple macroeconomics.....but I'll spell it out for you.
Let's say your numbers are correct (I'm betting it's closer to 30%, but for argument's sake, 20% is fine)....
Now, let's say half of those with sub-primes COULD have afforded to pay prime, and could have qualified for non-HSA loans (probably much less than half, but we'll use half....)
That would have a net DECREASE on demand of 10% (remember, that's minimum, it's probably higher)
@daveharpe - you REALLY think that if demand dropped by a full 10% (and remember, that's minimum.....the REAL number is probably between 15 and 20%) that wouldn't have curbed the housing bubble?
@tmlink74 The bigger the bubble, the more sensitive it is to a market downturn. At some point, a 10 % downturn could do it, and it probably happened when people couldn't even qualify for sub primes any more. When these tipping points occur, the downturn usually feeds itself. One of my "friends" tried to sell one of these turkeys to me. Glad I didn't do it. Read the article. Everyone's hands are dirty. There are no saints here, in government or private industry. It was the scam of the century.
@daveharpe - But you either don't understand what I'm saying, or refuse to acknowledge it....
100% less demand (again, that's minimum).....in eight years, that means the gross demand would be HALF of what it was.....HALF!!!!!
If the public demanded half as many homes in the decade of the 90's, home prices would NEVER have spiraled out of control....thus, no bubble. How can you not see that?
"There are none so blind as those who WILL NOT see..."
@tmlink74 - now....I never suggested there wasn't blame on both sides.....but the Dems pushed this legislation through.....it was THEIR brainchild.
GWB and the Republican caucus in the Congress' sin was in not being willing to take on the Dems and fight to get it repealed.....it was the right thing to do, and they didn't do it.
That, or block it from the beginning...but it really wasn't that bad of a program if it were for a 2-3 year period...it's just a horrible idea when it's "open-ended."
@tmlink74 You want to blame it on Clinton. OK, but Clinton was a corporate puppet, just like Bush and the rest of them. Most of what he did is what they wanted him to do. Most of what Bush did was what they wanted him to do. The corporations have majority control of both parties. It was getting too hard to qualify borrowers so they wanted to relax standards and continue with business as usual. They didn't care if the loans were bad because they knew they were going to sell them to someone else.
@daveharpe - 1st, when did I blame this on Clinton? I spelled out everyone's culpability, and it was far from just Clinton.
But you know, I thought I was talking to a reasonable thinking person.....I didn't know we were going to "Looneyville" and blaming everything on the big bad corporations.....those meanies!!!! (let's kick their shins now and storm off pouting)
In REALITY, corporate lobbies were BEGGING TO REPEAL sub-prime....but who needs facts when you're arguing politics....not you.
@daveharpe - No, I don't think that at all, nor did I say, or imply that. Again, you make up facts (this time putting words in my mouth) rather than bringing anything useful to bring to the debate.
As I said, MANY MANY people have dirty hands in this issue....we may differ in opinions on how much dirt is on who...but Governor Palin is right in this clip...it's more important that we get it fixed at this point. There's time to figure out who was wrong, and how to avoid similar mistakes, later.
@tmlink74 OK that's progress. At least you are no longer saying it was caused solely by Clinton and the Democrats. I'm out of here. I'm not getting paid to do this.
@daveharpe - Progress? I never said it was solely the Democrats fault sub-prime wasn't repealed.....just their fault that it was instituted without a sunset clause.
You REALLY need to read what the other guy is writing if you're going to debate.....you look like an imbecile when you don't.
This is actually funny now because she wants to lead her party back to 2008 and reverse the action Congress took and the reforms they proposed for Wall St. And who is the one pointing fingers Sarah!
Palin is the enemy of the intelligent, friend of the uneducated, ally of simplicity, a mouthpiece of the rich, the comrade of ignorance, a indefatigable supporter of the inarticulate, companion of the religiously blinded, and adversary to the analytical....
How is it the G.O.P. found a candidate that has a lower IQ than Bush?
@diceyLee Believe it or not bush was not stupid... if he didnt do what he did america would probably be much more screwed but your right it doesnt justify his actions but calling him low IQ is kinda not the right insult for the persons who once made it to be president out of the billions of american in that single land
@13DJX13 He didnt excell to the presidency you loon, he was chosen by Carl Rove, saying "i could make him president".....notice this wasn't "he should be president".....
@diceyLee You really think she has a lower IQ than George Bush? I don't think so...and I'm positive that she has a higher IQ than Barak Hussein Obama. At least he'll be a one-termer. I don't know why anyone voted for that scoundrel in the first place.
Thank God you are not in the Office, you spend more then 140k just for you cloth and that was before you get in the office, talking about depression.dum woman
I think we are likely to either go FDR's route, or Reagan's, but who could possibly predict which way we go? The natural route may be FDR, so we need to find another great leader like Reagan
earth to tpm, there is going to be another great depression. sarah is correct, the policies coming out of washington are leading this nation off a cliff.
No. The "tax-and-spenders" are the republicans, who with Reaganomics "trickle-down" bogus economic theory, gave huge tax-cuts to the rich, who pocket the money, instead of creating jobs, and send the remaining jobs overseas, forcing the middle-class and working-poor to pay a disp-proportionate share of their smaller pay to the government. The result is recesssion, and unemployment. And war.
No, Liberals do things the People want done. Conservatives do things Big Business and the Military want done. Huge difference. Liberals want to create jobs and empower small business. Conservatives want to ax small business, and elimiinate jobs, or send jobs abroad. Liberals believe in freedom of religion, or freedom FROM religion. Conservatives believe the Protestant Christian faith is the only truth. Liberals see all people as equals. Conservatives see some people as more-equal than others.
Because business knew that unlike Bush, and MCain, who would have just continued Bush's policies, Obama would be good for business, and anyone trying to make money in America. So they supported him, rather than a failed policy of tricle-down Reaganomics, which steals from the poor and gives to the rich, a kind of reverse-Robin-hood, and his merry men. Which led to the worst recession since the Great Depression. And war in Iraq, under false pretenses of WMD, for OIL.
Lack of regulation helped bring the current economic disater about. Last I checked, all the Golden parachuters of the biggest corporations, like AIG, and Merrill-Lynch, are life-long republicans. Democrats are pro-union.
I seem to recall the current backbreaking recesssion began on Bush's watch. Bush issued halfhearted "economic stimulus checks to everyone last summer, but it just went to pay overdue bills, not to buy goods and services, so of course it did nothing for the economy. Bush approved the first big bailouts of AIG, effectively socialising big business. And I recall Bush instituting the BUSH DOCTRINE of first strike in Sept. 2002, and invading Iraq under false pretenses in '03, no WMDs ever found.
Hussein Obama supported every spending bill Bush signed. Now he and Pelosi are trying to bankrupt the country with even more. What a pathetic America hating assholw would support these morons.
A great depression is still probable in 7-9 years time ( after another business cycle ) , because the gas tank is being filled again instead of fixing the engine . The time which has been bought is being wasted in another burst of consumerism..
In 7-9 years time , the economy will be less efficient & there won't be capacity to fill the tank again . The "flash depression " of 1921 , which warned of the 1929 crash & today that warning is again being ignored .
I didn't hear a thing about a bad economy until Hussein started talking the economy down last summer during his campaign. The DOW was at 13000 at the time!
TRHa is because you are living in a bubble. Econmy was horrible since 2006. Remember Bush's lame "economic-Stimulus cheques of spring-summer 2008? Remember Bush's big bailout of AIG? THe beginnings of "socialism" in America. Began with Bush, and his half-hearted attempts to fix the economy he broke.
No, the Democrats trid in vain to prevent Bush and the Republicans from spending our money like drunken sailors, and you see the results. Bush was a dunce, same as Palin. No more failed conservative ideologies!!!
The democrats are called tax and spenders for a reason. Palin balanced the budget. Her and Romney would do a decent job. Hussein and Pelosi have never balanced a budget in their lives. Screwing the country.
The three stooges went to Denmark and got bitch slapped, Guess they aren't so loved around the world after all. lol
Bill Clinton not only balanced the budget, he left office with a 43-billion dollar surplus, first in over a generation. I remember the prosperity of the 1960s. With Clinton we had not only prosperity, but PEACE, and plentiful, good-paying hi-tech jobs. I had one. Bush turned the Clinton 8-years of prosperity into a trillion dollar government deficit by 2003.President Obama has Clinton's economic advisors. And if not for the conservatives, we would have had universal helathcare in '94.
The first two years of Cinton's first term, the economy was in the tank, and the budget was not balanced. Democrats controlled everything. Repubs took congress in 94, balanced the budget, welfare reform(Bill vetoed it fhe first time) You're a classic left wing hack. Try to take credit for what the repubs did.
It's going to be a jobless recovery unemployment in the west is 10.1% and growing Wall street will recover main street won't and theres nothing Obama can do about it, wealth has shifted hands it's leaving the U.S. China ,Dubai, India, even Africa is seeing the majority of U.S investment , we were sold out a long time ago wake the hell up people ! Government and Corporations are all in on it. But stupid Americans deserve what they got coming it's out of are hands now. So all of you, shut up!
All Palin's projections are or will play out to be true. Instead of placing this great American in higher office we have elevated instead a master of deception to the highest office in this land and for this we shall pay dearly.
Hussein says its the worst economy since the great depression, and then he says the fundamentals of the economy are sound. But I guess we expect Hussein to be a reflective liar.
Wow, that's clever. You used the president's middle name to make him seem Unamerican, and then you lie and say that he said something that I've never heard him mention. Good job projecting something on someone when it is you who are commititng the very act. You probably love Fox News and the lack of reporting that they do over there...keep up the good work.
That's it, send me to an unconstitutional intern camp like they did the Japanese in WW II and suspend my rights to habeus corpus. That's the American way... if I'm ignorant, I'm afraid to see a person that you think is logical and rational. Sorry I use facts and don't just believe that if I think that what I'm saying is the truth, then it will be the truth. If only we lived in a world like that...
Actually, I hate dancing with the stars, and I really don't give a damn about ACORN. So, I guess I'm part of the fascist/socialist/any other ignorant bullshit you conservatives cook up in your drug-induced stupors that you want me to be. I apologize that fact and logic dominate the way that I think and feel. So go ahead and put my name on one of those idiotic signs and run off to your tea bag party to complain about the debt that the previous government ran up that you did nothing about...
FOX news is the only place we can get both sides. It was created because the left wing nut cases had a monoply on the media. Only Nazis are opposed to free speech.
You stupid fucking republicans need to realize your ways do not work and only do this country harm! All you republicans get the fuck out of the united states and go ruin another counties economy! NEVER VOTE REPUBLICAN BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IDIOTS!!!
"As for (Palin's) frontierswoman shtick, take another look at that hairpiece-augmented beehive and those stiletto heels. Coming from a college-educated family, living in a half-million-dollar view home, basking in a net worth of $1.25 million, and having owned 40-some registered motorized vehicles in the past two decades (including 17 snowmobiles and a plane) hardly qualifies Palin and her cl
bilout or no bailout the problem is nobody wants to do bussiness with america -- it's too expensive. take a look at some of the wages in countries like china india russia. why would you paid 100 dollars in the us when india will do the same thing for 10?
As we can see .. we dont need a depression for her to start stacking people... the woman stinks on all fronts.. to sack a man cause he took the ethical right ground on not sacking her sisters ex husband..surely even staunch RED state america can see thru the glasses on this one.. whether it was within the law or not... Darn God it just aint right !!
sarah palin is dumb and so are ppl who believe in the republicans economic policy which solely lead to an economic debt of over 2 trillion dollars....im canadian and cant vote. but because i own real estate in the US and all around the worl i can only say one thing..... FUCK YOU BUSH PALIN MCCAIN CHENEY etc..
don't blame anybody but yourself for having been so stupid as to buy real estate before the bubble burst. We dumped holdings in 2004 because it was inevitable that this was coming. And let me remind you that the Dems and their deregulation of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac is what did it. Bush couldn't do anything to make Congress tighten up, short of sticking a gun to their silly heads!
so your telling me that bush spending billions of dollars in iraq has nothing to do with the national debt...alright whatever i actually stoppped caring through the middle of this sentence
What you're forgetting is that we were spending billions of dollars in Iraq when our economy was doing GREAT! It's not like he JUST started spending billions in Iraq.
yeah but the more he spent in Iraq the more your economy went down.. im canadian but because i live in the least independent country in the world canada is bassically a state of america
No shit people need to take actiion, wow so this is your big plan on how to save our fucking asses, telling our "leaders," who can't lead to take action, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!
Only old ass people can even remember anything about the great depression today, but i doubt that there is any legitimate way to compare the state of things today with the state of things back then. I imagine a lot of people would be insulted by that comparison if they were still alive to hear it.
I heard from my parents about the Depression. It wasn't nice having to grow up at that time. And the great Dem president, Franklin Roosevelt, needed a war to get America out of the soup kitchen lines & working again. In a way, we are STILL PAYING for FDR's way out of the Depression and that's what started us on the road to debt!
Sarah Palins favourite words: Say it ain't so,Joe" "Darn Right" ........"Gosh Darnit" ....what a joke. "Hockey mum", "Joe Sixpac","Maverick". If you want an idiot in office vote for Palin.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I am so pissed off about the banking scandal, and we have mostly the Democrats to blame for it. All the CEO's involved, and all the senators involved in bank oversight, such as that crooked Chris Dodd, strange Barney Frank, and poser Barack Obama carry lots of blame. I'm so over the Obama crapola and with his shakedown community activist thugs, ACORN. God help us if Obama gets in the White House. I would gladly vote for a Black American for president, but not that dissembling bastard.
I see & we're supposed to believe in yoU? why don't you go fuck yourself w/ur finger in ur mothers ass! Scandal? compare to fuckin Bush? Ok retard shit why dont u put this in ur bastard list: Picture this McCain dies she becomes president so every week or so she'll be bending over getting fuck doggy style/sucking dick! Hmm some President? Other countries get upset & they'll go Fuck You BITCH! so much for respect. At least Bill hit it doggy style but she'll be geting right in the ass Lmao!!
why would she admit to this? everyone knows that speculation is the worst thing to express in our economy today. I think that is pretty big indicator of her inexperience to lead.
well to all of you that doesnt think she is right on spot ..you need to research who is cleaning the streets and who is on the feds and states payroll..without this bill,(and by the way i dont like it either)state and federal payrolls will not be met AND banks will not have the monies to lend anyone anything..this being a credit based economy..it would end as we know it..do you realize how many businesses rely on credit to make payrolls?..as much you hate it..she is on the money.
I can't stand Sarah Palin and she is one reason I cannot vote for McCain but on this issue she might be right to an extent. I don't think there will be a depression because there are too many safeguards today that were not available in the 30s. But I do think we are in for a deep painful recession if nothing is done. The assistance plan as much as people do not like it might be needed just to help prevent massive job layoffs.
It frightens me to think that this lady could possible run our country if something happens to McCain. I like McCain, he would be a good war time president. But we are under 2 wars and an economic crisis. McCain already stated he doesn't know anything about economics. With out the economics we could not fund a war. Obama appears to be a person that I would trust to talk our way out of having future wars, and to help settle the current conflict. No choice is a perfect choice. Choose wisely.
Remember people there is an election coming up. There is a campaign going on. The republicans are going to come up with something to make McCain look good before the election....even tho this happened under their watch. Keep your eye on the ball. Vote Obama.
Do you mean the watch of Dems because they have the majority? Like Nancy P. and Harry Reid. You voted them in 2006. Search Burning down the House:What caused the economic crisis and tell me what you think.
Are you a moron? Who do you think caused this shit to start with ..here read the link, AND STOP WATCHING CNN AND MSNBC.
The largest contributors to Obama's campaign was Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae, he was just slightly below the Clintons on the list, DoH! Go ahead vote for Obama, "I DOUBLE DARE YOU TO". You'll live in a dumpster a couple of months after you do too.
She is nothing but a sloppy mommy. SHE won't face a depression, the millionaires and billionaires want the USA to be a third world country with cheap illegal labor. I would like to kick her where the sun refuses to shine.
About one thing we may be sure. The U.S. deficit and national debt are going to soar. The credit rating of the United States, as this nation of non-savers has to borrow abroad to save its banks, and their banks, is going to fall. We are going to be a poorer nation and people.
Allot of delusional people making comments. Sarah was excellent. Since Palin was chosen the tide has turned in McCains favor, and I'm loving watching all of you libs panic. Haha!!
A world wide depression is predicted in the bible at the end of times, I'd say we're finally there ...along with the Iraq war, 9/11, Russia becoming aggressive (the Eagle and the Bear shall fight), George Bush being elected president (the youngest shall lead them), war in Iraq starting over oil and all the nations meeting the the Euphrates valley where the biggest war in history plays out, etc...
People should pay close attention, "MAJOR" changes are just around the corner...
Keep your seatbelt on, I think we have a few more good years left before this planet is decimated by humans. At least until 2012. Pray for the miserable souls who may be idiotic enough to bring it on. (The infamous Rapture)
I hope you're right, i have a niece and nephew i would like to see grow up ...but i don't think that's going to happen.
However, I think you may have missed the point of what's happening now and why God told us it's happening. It's not humans that destroy this planet. It's about God bringing to fruition his promise to save his chosen people and take them out of a polluted world.
I'm curious, why do you say 2012? What scripture do you attribute this number too.
Thanks for the message. I think there are those in power that think they can hasten the rapture.
As for 2012, it is in other culture's scriptures i.e. Mayan, Aztec, Egyptian, American Indian and others the world over. A great shift to occur in 2012 by timeline and calendar "ends". - 12/22/12. I believe Nostrodamus may also have a cinquain about it as a reference to Rev:8:8-10.
Interpretation is open on this all, depending upon with whom you speak and their spiritual belief system. Be well.
notice how she keeps checking her notes throughout the interview and *still* manages to sound profoundly unintelligent. I can't help Dan Quayle -- the dumbest VP ever. ever. ever -- but U.S. American votes *still* elected the man who selected him. Ultimately, I don't see McCain's choice for VP hurting him in the long run. What does that say about voters?
we really are in a deppression if you ask me. people are losing homes, jobs are being lost, and the amount of money we're spending every day in Iraq is enough to give every child in America health care for a month, now that's pretty damn deppressing
thanks for posting these.

GWB and the Republican caucus in the Congress' sin was in not being willing to take on the Dems and fight to get it repealed.....it was the right thing to do, and they didn't do it.
That, or block it from the beginning...but it really wasn't that bad of a program if it were for a 2-3 year period...it's just a horrible idea when it's "open-ended."
tmlink74 1 year ago
@tmlink74 You want to blame it on Clinton. OK, but Clinton was a corporate puppet, just like Bush and the rest of them. Most of what he did is what they wanted him to do. Most of what Bush did was what they wanted him to do. The corporations have majority control of both parties. It was getting too hard to qualify borrowers so they wanted to relax standards and continue with business as usual. They didn't care if the loans were bad because they knew they were going to sell them to someone else.
daveharpe 1 year ago
@daveharpe - 1st, when did I blame this on Clinton? I spelled out everyone's culpability, and it was far from just Clinton.
But you know, I thought I was talking to a reasonable thinking person.....I didn't know we were going to "Looneyville" and blaming everything on the big bad corporations.....those meanies!!!! (let's kick their shins now and storm off pouting)
In REALITY, corporate lobbies were BEGGING TO REPEAL sub-prime....but who needs facts when you're arguing politics....not you.
tmlink74 1 year ago
@tmlink74 So you think the corporations were innocent. Whatever.
daveharpe 1 year ago
@daveharpe - No, I don't think that at all, nor did I say, or imply that. Again, you make up facts (this time putting words in my mouth) rather than bringing anything useful to bring to the debate.
As I said, MANY MANY people have dirty hands in this issue....we may differ in opinions on how much dirt is on who...but Governor Palin is right in this clip...it's more important that we get it fixed at this point. There's time to figure out who was wrong, and how to avoid similar mistakes, later.
tmlink74 1 year ago
@tmlink74 OK that's progress. At least you are no longer saying it was caused solely by Clinton and the Democrats. I'm out of here. I'm not getting paid to do this.
daveharpe 1 year ago
@daveharpe - Progress? I never said it was solely the Democrats fault sub-prime wasn't repealed.....just their fault that it was instituted without a sunset clause.
You REALLY need to read what the other guy is writing if you're going to debate.....you look like an imbecile when you don't.

Beamshit, what about the three stooges getting bitch slapped in denmark. LOL
jmspflw 2 years ago
And war.
Beamshipcaptain 2 years ago
Liberal democrats are tax and spenders. You're comments are laughable, only a moron would believe them, or someone working for ACORN.
jmspflw 2 years ago
No, Liberals do things the People want done. Conservatives do things Big Business and the Military want done. Huge difference. Liberals want to create jobs and empower small business. Conservatives want to ax small business, and elimiinate jobs, or send jobs abroad. Liberals believe in freedom of religion, or freedom FROM religion. Conservatives believe the Protestant Christian faith is the only truth. Liberals see all people as equals. Conservatives see some people as more-equal than others.
Beamshipcaptain 2 years ago
Big business gave more to Hussein than McCain. By the tune of 6 to 1. Wall street loves the democrat bailouts.
jmspflw 2 years ago
Because business knew that unlike Bush, and MCain, who would have just continued Bush's policies, Obama would be good for business, and anyone trying to make money in America. So they supported him, rather than a failed policy of tricle-down Reaganomics, which steals from the poor and gives to the rich, a kind of reverse-Robin-hood, and his merry men. Which led to the worst recession since the Great Depression. And war in Iraq, under false pretenses of WMD, for OIL.
Beamshipcaptain 2 years ago
Big business loves democrats. They help them regulate small business to push them out of business,
jmspflw 2 years ago
Lack of regulation helped bring the current economic disater about. Last I checked, all the Golden parachuters of the biggest corporations, like AIG, and Merrill-Lynch, are life-long republicans. Democrats are pro-union.

jmspflw 2 years ago
I seem to recall the current backbreaking recesssion began on Bush's watch. Bush issued halfhearted "economic stimulus checks to everyone last summer, but it just went to pay overdue bills, not to buy goods and services, so of course it did nothing for the economy. Bush approved the first big bailouts of AIG, effectively socialising big business. And I recall Bush instituting the BUSH DOCTRINE of first strike in Sept. 2002, and invading Iraq under false pretenses in '03, no WMDs ever found.

TRHa is because you are living in a bubble. Econmy was horrible since 2006. Remember Bush's lame "economic-Stimulus cheques of spring-summer 2008? Remember Bush's big bailout of AIG? Beamshipcaptain 2 years ago
The democrats are called tax and spenders for a reason. Palin balanced the budget. Her and Romney would do a decent job. Hussein and Pelosi have never balanced a budget in their lives. Screwing the country.
The three stooges went to Denmark and got bitch slapped, Guess they aren't so loved around the world after all. lol
jmspflw 2 years ago
Bill Clinton not only balanced the budget, he left office with a 43-billion dollar surplus, first in over a generation. I remember the prosperity of the 1960s. With Clinton we had not only prosperity, but PEACE, and plentiful, good-paying hi-tech jobs. I had one. Bush turned the Clinton 8-years of prosperity into a trillion dollar government deficit by 2003.President Obama has Clinton's economic advisors. And if not for the conservatives, we would have had universal helathcare in '94.
Beamshipcaptain 2 years ago
The first two years of Cinton's first term, the economy was in the tank, and the budget was not balanced. Democrats controlled everything. Repubs took congress in 94, balanced the budget, welfare reform(Bill vetoed it fhe first time) You're a classic left wing hack. Try to take credit for what the repubs did.

If Palin wins surely a depression is possible. People abroad would become really distrusful of the sanity of the American voters.
