Had the town be full of atheists, I'm sure it would have given itself another name to control the children. I thought the demon was supposed to be the devil when I saw it, read later it was (atleast in the short story) probably the evil wizard in other SK stories and if I remember correctly the wizard from the Dark Tower series? Cool, but not scary. Same thing as oppenning up a gate to the fantasy land Dark Tower takes place in the story, The Myst. This isn't a matter of Regligion, it is a matter of what is scaryer.

Flippin heck! I had no idea they had made a further 6 more Children Of The Corn films.I also heard that they remade this 1980's classic,is that true and is it available to buy in the uk.

Watched this movie for the first time in its entirety after 27 years. Found it hard to feel much sympathy for either Ed Harris or his wife, they were such unlikable characters, her with her constant harpy routine and him with his macho ape "I have this situation under control! act when every decision he makes puts him and his wife in greater danger.
The remake on TV sucks, added stupid shit to it, it was shorter, the kids actually fucked, and then the kids get brutally murdered, I fucking hate it... and there''s no APPLE PIE line DX AW FUCK ME ....

Watched this movie for the first time in its entirety after 27 years. Found it hard to feel much sympathy for either Ed Harris or his wife, they were such unlikable characters, her with her constant harpy routine and him with his macho ape "I have this situation under control! act when every decision he makes puts him and his wife in greater danger.
