When Tarantino talks...I love the contast between Katheryn Bigelow and Peter Jackson in terms of their reaction. Bigelow seems to be really interested in what Tarantino is saying and Peter Jackson seems really bored...and it times it seem like he would say "what the....fu....."

@Legitbusiness1182 quite possibly, but it was still a damn good film. The performances alone might have been stronger in that film that any of the other films in that entire year. It's a much more powerful and truthful view of the life and times of the ghetto than most films about that subject matter.

@jcsmtih900 Yea precious did what it was suppose to do, but Monique wont get another role again, the lead chick in the film will never be a leading lady in another film. But hey everybody gets their time to shine.

@Legitbusiness1182 She was great in Precious (and even played a character named precious in Daniels' debut) but I haven't followed her career (no real interest to). She'll get other roles, but I don't think she fits the average Hollywood role (or even 99% of Hollywood roles). As for the lead actress, I'm not sure. I would say the same thing, but she has a decent role in the upcoming Tower Heist next to some pretty big names and she's already worked w/ Daniels and Ratner - could do her good...

@jcsmtih900 I've never been a big fan of Bret Ratner, and eddie murphy and the rest of that cast of Tower heist are all washed up. I mean dont get me wrong i like seeing actors who been outta the loop for awhile but i'll be suprised if ratner can make this film work.

@Legitbusiness1182 No totally agree. I don't like Ratner at all, but as the topic is concerned in the roundtable above: he is an insider. The stars (aside from Stiller) may be washed up, but they're big names and this movie should be somewhat big... if anything it will probably mean more work for her. I just don't know or think we'll see her in a lead role anytime soon.

And tower heist might be a big film but for some reason im seeing this movie tank like alot of ratners films aside from the rush hour films, and those arent that great either.

Tarantino is the greatest. Nobody writes dialogue like that, though so many have ripped him off. He didn't direct my all-time favorite film, but he definitely has more in my top twenty than any other director.

The Hurt Locker was brilliantly directed but I fucking loved Inglourious Basterds so much I wish it would of won the Globe for best picture Drama. It's going to get an Oscar nomination but it won't win. :( Neither will Hurt Locker.
