i love your videos! they're very clear, and make me feel like i could do these carries, with practice (i just got my first wrap on monday). a question - this carry doesn't seem to offer any head support. is that okay with a sleeping baby on the back? any alternatives to add head support?
I'm glad you find the videos helpful! :) Head support for a sleeping baby in a back carry is always tricky. Personally, I find that if I wrap up high enough (notice in this video that her head is almost laying on my shoulder), baby's head usually flops forward onto me pretty well. Also, in Jordan's Back Carry, the two panels that cross across baby's back seem to make kind of a cradle for her head, and that usually keeps her head from flopping back.
Continued from other post (there's never enough characters to properly answer a question! ;) ) - If those both aren't working, I will pull the cross panel that is opposite the direction her head is facing up over the back of her head (so her face is still out), and support her head that way. It requires some crazy contortions to get my arm back there to do that, but you learn a lot about that kind of thing just learning to wrap. ;) Hope this helps!
