@222CBK222 It was a temporary solution as batman says, also they have to wear that "antidote" and not take it off. Joker would rip it right off. Though it would be a way to keep him normal in prison. Just make sure he is force fed food, and can't use his hands.

@222CBK222 The joker didnt gain superpowers from the vat, I think the creeper only gained them due to the fact that he was already exposed to joker venom. Regardless I would say the joker's problem isnt chemical perse if you read the comics and some of his origin stories the mental strain of being disfigured after an already really bad day set him off.

@222CBK222 I think the only reason for it is because the Joker was always a psychotic nut job, even before the event that caused him to become the Joker. Meaning that even if Batman had cured him of what happened, the Joker would've still been a murderous psychopath.

@222CBK222 The Creeper's mental status wasn't brought about just by the chemicals. Remember, The Joker also sprayed him with Joker Laughing Gas before he hurled him into the vat. The chemicals from the vat, mixed with the ones in the laughing gas, caused The Creeper's mind to warp how it did, which is why an antidote can be made. The Joker went crazy because the incident with the vat was what finally pushed him over the deep end, at least according to The Killing Joke.

@KeizerXilian Actually, according to The Killing Joke, no one (not even the Joker himself) knows how the Joker came into existence. He himself stated "I don't exactly know what happened to me. Somedays I remember it oneway, somedays another. If I'm going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice." So we can't really take the " Red Hood falls into a vat of chemicals" origin as a fact. That is only one way in which the Joker interprets how he came to be.

@FireFistShikamaru True. I'd have been more clear, but character limits kinda prevented that. What I basically meant was the way he remembers the incident in the flashbacks is pretty widely accepted as the origin. Either way, it still pretty much means that whatever it was that really did cause him to go batshit (no pun intended) is something that can't be suppressed by some kind of medicinal patch the way The Creeper's affliction can.

Paul Dini is an awsome writer and never disapoints.
