he ties the slider (the green flap) for a couple reasons, one so he can go a little faster and two cos its noisy as hell haha i might just be here in ireland, but i was sure it was a universal thing that once the canopy opens you gotta go through a check list before you start flying normally
@StreamingKnowledge Safer then you might think, most skydiving fatalities occur from people making stupid mistakes. Proper preparation insures a safe skydive.
Yea I kinda mastered the plf lol I looked at a few of the pics my dad took and found out I wasn't flairing all the way ( must of been because I was so nervous) I'm so excited to jump again but I only can afford 3 right now
I like these vids but I still don't know "how to land" , my instructors wants me to PLF but I think I can walk it off , should I keep my legs a little in front of me on landing?
@chittychad18 it is not easy, it is all about timing, to make sure you don't get a leg injury from the speed you are falling from, as SOON as you touch the floor you do this roll on the floor to help absorb the impact. But wen you jump it looks like the floor is heading for you, not you heading to the ground.
im going to jump out of the aero plane when i goes on the holidays...cos i knows everyfin bouts skydivings i seen it on expert village..its like proper good tutorials and that on here...i knows everyfin now. fanks.
All of these Expert Village videos on skydiving should state that the video does not, in any way, replace proper training from a certified USPA (United States Parachute Association) instructor, or foreign equivalent, and that failure to adhere to this rule will likely result in serious injury or death.

I think most people worked that out camgon ;)
I'm sure most people are smart enough to get proper training before they skydive.
jim05240524 3 years ago
yes, most people are fairly smart....unfortunately, there are a few people out there that who are a couple fries short of a happy meal..........
and from a legal standpoint, it would cover expert village's ass :)

considering that no reputable DZ would let a whuffo that learned to fly on the net jump solo, i dont think its gonna be a problem.
