  • Hello from someone who has gone through the Pesticide Battle

    AND WON!

DON'T LET THE MONEY AND MOMENTUM OF THESE PEOPLE INTIMIDATE YOU.

They are a bunch of old people with OCD for the most part...many making money from the status quo.

    1. I have raised 2 successful kids and an organic dog in a 2 acre upscale suburban setting with no pesticides by changing my thinking of what a lawn is. It is a lovely meadow where my dog and babies and wildlife can live without fear of poisoning th

  • SplinterDog123 Why do you demonstrate understanding of variation of plant sensitivity to pesticides but you cannot understand these agents are toxic to humans based on age and size? Removing weeds /insects completely has a low margin of safety so lets change the paradigm and replace lawns with org. gardens. guys like you would still work just as much just different tasks of garden vs lawn keeping

  • @SplinterDog123 Not true! I have several years of personal experience.

  • Hudson was couragious for standing up for this issue. Rachel Carson would be proud...

  • ....... Cool season grasses, if left to it's own with no help from us, will soon be out-competed by crabgrass and other weeds which thrive under warmer conditions when cool season grasses are under stress. That is why neglected lawns always become predominately weeds. Do not believe that you can have a beautiful, lush, thick, weed and insect free lawn without chemical intervention.

  • @SplinterDog123 Why don't you grow something you can eat. Sheet mulch the whole lawn and go organic vegetables. I'm loving it!

  • Nothing like seeing your tiny hometown in a movie. Can't wait to see it! Way to go Hudson!

  • WOW! this is so important and needs to be told! Very powerful. Can't wait to see the entire movie. Thanks Paul!

  • Great trailer. Can't wait to see the movie!!!

  • Hope it comes to New Zealand looking forward to seeing it .

  • It's about time the truth be told.

Of course, most of us know that grass is a weed (not the "funny tobacca" kind) It grows everywhere, and comes back, thriving, after drought with no help from us. And grass survives pesticide spraying, while everything else around it dies. Makes you think, doesn't it.

  • It is not that the grass is so tough. Broadleaf weeds have completely different physiology than do cool season grasses. The fact is that the chemicals used to control broadleaf weeds in turf are specifically designed to target those plants. It is called selectivity and it is quite impressive if you understand it. If you apply glyphosate or any other non-selective herbicide, it will take out the grasses just as readily as the weeds. Cont...

  • @SplinterDog123 You can eat dandelion leaves, you know. What about 25,000 years for yours, though.
