  • The rules in stock class are basically a mild cam and header and blueprinting engine. Gears and trans modifications allowed. That's about it. 283 Impallas run like 12's. Amazing. They do tear em down and check the specs sometimes.

  • The "coast" boys got nuthin on these recers! I practically lived at that track. Last time I was there the shutdown area had weeds growing through the pavement. Kinda scary at 100+ How they get a stock class 327 in the 10's is beyond me...

    that viper acr could be beat by an 80,000 dollar nissan gtr, or a tuned bmw m3 for that matter, u just mad cause umad.

  • @xAlucard9000x Look at the records at the Nurburgring. if you dont live close enough to go your in luck they are online also. the acr already beat the GTR and several M3's run there all the time that can't keep up with the acr's time. try making a point with facts instead of your hopes and dreams. u just wrong cause u wrong :)

    just looked at official times, viper acr was 7:22.1, the nissan gt-r was 7:24, gtr price, 80,000, viper price 91,000 so you pay 10 more grand get 2 seconds, that sounds pretty close to me, id still take the gtr

  • @xAlucard9000x also considering the gtr is a 6 cylinder, the acr is 10.

  • @xAlucard9000x Check laguna seca lap records. the GTR was out done by the acr, zr1, and the new 2011 Z06 on that track. The difference was even more dramatic between the gtr and the acr on a shorter track. As for the 6cyl vs 10cyl thats one reason people are willing to pay more for the acr. Besides all I'm saying is that there are American cars that corner just as well if not better than the imports

  • @xAlucard9000x If you want to compare cyl's to cyl's go ahead and look at the lap time at the ring for the 2007 Cobalt SS/tc the only 4 cyl's that beat it are the Caterham and the Donkervoort Which are pretty much purpose built light weight track cars. Heck the Donkervoort beats the ACR and the GTR too!!

  • @slayer360150 Yours also weighs half of what mine weighs. Mine is in good condition with a rebuilt small block v8 and I got it for only $1,000. It already sounds amazing and it doesn't even have headers, just wait till I drop a big block in it with a supercharger. It'll run 8's with that much power, prolly without even switching to slicks.

  • Check out NHRA super stock rules on their website.

    Roller cams, trans brakes, narrowed rear ends, huge slicks and torque make for huge wheelies.

    Every car make and motor has a specific set of rules.

  • A very good portion of them cars are stock eliminator. They cannot have Roller cams, trans brakes, narrowed rear ends or huge slicks. Good Gearing and lots of torque eauals huge wheelies.

  • @official22yrs Thunder valley still lives?? Marion SD?? I used to race there in the late 60's. I remember Earl Britt...who had a 54 Corvette to start (6 cyl) and then got an AMC Gremlin later. Fun weekends, and a nice hill at the end to aid in slowing down.
