I'm Alan's biggest fan here, but anyone else notice that he always messes up his lyrics? he did it here, he does it live with On the Road Again and Human Condition. I never noticed before because he makes it sound like it was supposed to come out that way . I love Alan and Canned Heat!

Have used this great tune as a break up song 2x. "If you don't want my company, you can go straight to hell"......epic. With volume up to 11 it gets the point across to the offending party and is almost cathartic.

Man, Blind Owl's singing wasn't anything close to what either mainstream or old school blues was, but it was just as heartfelt as old school blues. Too bad the blues became too much for him. He would have made some more great music.

Music WITHOUT COMPROMISE. Alan's voice- raw falsetto, certainly not commercial or polished but GENUINE. Alan's lyrics, half the time they don't even rhyme - but they are REAL. Gotta love him.

Each video I watch makes me realize the true meaning and brilliance of this band and of Alan all that more. Every time I find myself caught in the hazy echoed sound of such old footage. One has to wonder how theyve managed to sustain such dismissal from the likes of mainstream but as far as Im concerned they rose beyond that when they hit Monterey. There will never be anything like Canned Heat.

Sadly Alan Wilson was as troubled as he was gifted. The more I listen to Canned Heat, the more I'm hooked. Just sucks that I didn't discover how awesome they were until this year. Woodstock Boogie is my favorite. Blind Owl, R.I.P.

Aw, come on, it's not about the girl. Blues musicians on the road don't meet "sweet women", they meet groupies. The kind of woman that might have saved Alan Wilson would be at home making apple pies and growing a garden. Not picking up musicians. Very sad, but I don't think a "sweet woman" would be able to deal with all the drugs and his heavy depression. Jimi Hendrix was not lacking in female attention, but his girfriends didn't save him - they were druggies, too.

No.Wilson was much different than Hendrix with respect to women.Alan was not physically attractive.He was rejected by women.This was a rock star who struck out with girls.Unlikely-but true.

Might have changed his life.I don`t say it definitely would have.But Alan had a deep need here-and it tormented him.
