My Loop Library isn't showing up can you help, Where it normally has the light blue square-like shape with the play button in the middle in the folders section it just has a red square-like shape with a cross in the middle where it says demo one shots and demo loops, I think it may be because I had traktor scratch duo before and when I install traktor pro s4 it said something like 'do you want to import setting from previous traktor' or something. @1991cdj yeah they are bringing out a timecode update which will allow you to hook your CDJs into the S4 to use as extra decks so you could have 2 CDJs as main decks + the 2 jog wheels as another 2 + you got the sample decks C and D - the options are immense with this system!

I've only been djing for a few months but just posted a video up of a little mini mix i did yesterday. Going to record better videos once I can find somewhere to stick my iphone for recording ;-)

What I think is: taking account that the new controller and software includes a sampler, and we can see on the screenshots 4 sample decks for each deck . In this track the synth come from flashmob (popof remix) but have been reworked....

It is going to off beats. The Popof remix has the bass land on the beats. Pretty major difference but you made a good effort so thats what counts I guess.

Always fun to see Vinyl/CD users complaining about digital mixing.

Of course it requires less skill. I press sync and it's done.

Then I have some spare time to involve effects or talking to a girl.

But what's the problem?

Why not using it? Syncing is much faster

I could also say stop using vinyl and stealing music - otherwise you have no skill in contrast to artists only playing their own stuff.

And about the quality ... most poeple don't hear a difference between 320kbps and a CD or Vinyl

Well put. Straight mixing on CDs/Vinyl is a physical skill that puts you at the mercy of the sound engineers. Booth delay will ruin the best DJs.

Using digital eliminates the potential variables that screw up mixing and allow the artist to focus on the composition and addition of other elements like samples, effects, looping, etc. I've been a DJ for 13 years and have learned the ability to beatmatch well on hardware. I have never recorded a software mix, but I'm about to switch.

And hey, Serato is fine for what it does... I think NI is way more qualified to take things to the next level. I doubt Serato will evolve much over the next 5 years. I know Traktor will. This new system looks great. I bet it's an upgrade. Looks like an Audio 8 DJ interface in there.
