  • This is the best version of this song...and even though it's supposed to be song about breaking up, it's so happy sounding!

  • Who cares how old everyone is! It's good that you like it if you're young ! This is music what a bunch of legends!

  • I should have been born in the 50's, so much better music back then

  • Best music came from the 50's and 60's... Just as many more have commented I too was born in the wrong era... Im 19 and hate modern music.

  • I love the Everly Brothers :)

  • Ahhh I LOVE this song!

  • beni takip ediniz hepiniz : )

  • All That Jazz

  • @korvinski I hope you realize how close minded you sound. I love this just as much as I love a lot of what you de-cry as "gangsta rap." Much of the 50s music you adore was considered as controversial as hip hop is today, because of the IMPLIED sexuality. Please grow up (or try to realize you've grown old...)

  • super 8 haha

  • hmz charming and very young with a lot of energy

  • Always thought it was Simon & Garfunkel's song...hmm

  • You can tell that the Everly Brothers definitely influenced the Beatles and countless artists. I am not talking about the hair. I am talking about the style of early rock that they performed.

  • also Lets rock baby

  • i am croatian (if you know whats that) and i love this... i am borned in wrong era... and i only 17 years old..

  • @jurankralj93 you are a smart guy...keep on!...Croatia Croatia! good soccer over there...take care! :)

  • @jurankralj93 nobody cares what age you are!

  • @jurankralj93 me to lol

  • Love this song. Love the Everly Brothers big hits.

  • Im trough with romance im trough with love im trough with counting the starts above..

  • they're funny with the moptop. I Prefer the elvis hair.

  • Just as a side comment, there wouldn't have been a group called the Beatles, had there not been the Everly Brothers. Superhartline

  • @TheUnstoppableKitten No sorry, I meant to ask if they were.

  • lol like romantic nights, candles, re d roses

  • There from where I live (Shenandoah, Iowa). ShenFest was today and it was themed them.

  • Mafia 2!

  • Here's a place in time that society forgot. When music was cool, groovy & innocent. Lyrics were clean and people were pure and unspoiled. Unlike today how media serves our kids a bunch of FILTH where lyrics of gang-sta rap & hip-hop are full of profanity, recording artists are horny sexual beings portrayed in videos & pop stars are admired for getting in trouble with the law - WHAT kind of CRAP is that ?? Just citing how societal erosion is deteriorating the very fabric that holds us together.

  • @Korvinski yo man, don't be a square. who care's what music today is about. just dig these tunes and let the kids have their music

  • @MagnusSvarta That's where you get it wrong... I'm fourteen years old, and I don't find 'today's music' all that great. I'll stick with my Sinatra, Beatles, and Ray Charles, thank you very much.

  • @Korvinski I absolutely agree that today's music has gone to shit. Although I wouldnt say gangsta rap is the problem considering that died out of mainstream popularity a few years ago. Modern day hip hop and electro pop crap is more like it. But hailing the 50s as the cool decade is not a good idea. Don't forget this was a terrible time for the majority of people who weren't straight, white and male. The 60s and 70s denounced the intolerant 50s and made amazing music.

  • @Korvinski i totally agreed!!

  • @Korvinski but you know what......at least these musicians get the satisfaction of watching their music being played decade after decade....unlike today's artists....heard today, forgotten tomorrow

  • @Korvinski You are massively generalising. There is a lot of contemporary music which doesn't have any profanity in it, which is cool, groovy AND innocent. The key difference between now and the Everly brothers era it seems to me is that we have a lot more variety in the music we choose to listen to. Surely this is a good thing!

  • @loungeactable you know people just wanna "cool," nowadays. let them think "those were the days!" all they want. just a bunch of kids who can't appreciate what they have now, and who think that getting thumbs up on youtube will make them cool.

  • @loungeactable America is in rapid decline and most of today's entertainment (TV, music, movies, video games, etc) reflect the downward spiral.

  • @outofmyhands2 Do you want to qualify what you mean by rapid decline? What's rapidly declining? I suggest you try listening to any of the following bands for contemporary music which does not reflect a downward spiral of society, The Kooks, Foster The People (American band), Gotye, Beirut, the list goes on....

  • @loungeactable Beirut is another American band too!

  • @Korvinski Music seemed to change for the worst in the early 80s, or about the time that MTV (or is that Empty TV) came on the scene. I am actually quite glad I grew up in a time where I was somewhat protected. When TV and music was okay to watch W/O having a parent to monitor things. I agree with what you write. I believe the erosion that has become this country was very much calculated back then. Basically, conquer the greatest country GOD gave man from within its own borders.

  • @Korvinski you say as the advert next to this video is for mature dating! :P

  • @Korvinski Hate to break it to you sir (or ma'am), but things weren't any more "pure, " or "innocent" in the 50's and 60's. There was simply a denial of sex, misogyny, racism, drug and alcohol abuse, etc. in public life. It's not any more prevalent than it is now.

  • @Hektor88 That last sentence should read, "then it was then."

  • @Korvinski You are entitled to your opinion, but don't forget that back in the 50s there were plenty of old timers hurling the same accusations at the Everly Brothers and other rock n' rollers of the day -- filth, sin, sexuality, social deterioration, the whole nine yards. Rock n' Roll has always been the Devil's music to the Korvinski's of the world.

  • They are from my hometown Shenandoah, Iowa

  • @Scorsesebuff They're from Muhlenberg, KY.

  • They're British

  • Hätte ich eigentlich Simon&Garfunkel zugeordnet. Trotzdem super!

  • this video is the 60?

  • This seems like they re-popped it for the mid 60's sound to try to appeal to the new crowd. It's not bad.

  • They should leave the Brit outfits to the Brits, these are country boys for f sakes!

  • When ever a girl that has been kidnapped is displayed on the news I cant help bet sing this song aloud. :)

  • Great song thanks for posting it.

  • Frankie and alice

  • my theme song

  • @candyxxx666 You and I both lol. Love these guys with all the right songs and that harmony, wow, loved this song since a small child.

  • How is it possible to dislike such an amazing tune!

  • Your right . They sing it a little different. The phrasing is a little more rock n roll and a little bit less country. It doesn't matter. They sound great any fucking way they sing it.

  • Lolz

  • why are all the good musicians dead

  • @feffrey5 haha they're both still alive

  • That's perfct :)

  • lmao i never really cared bout them cuz i never knew them since i was born in 1999, but i m listening to their songs and their pretty good;0

  • PHIL EVERLY explained:

"Don and I are infamous for our split, but we're closer than most brothers.

Harmony singing requires that you enlarge yourself, not use any kind of suppression.

Harmony is the ultimate love."... Erik aka Ricky Teal

  • does anyone have the lyrics??

  • @SandyKellymtv2 songlyricsdotcom

  • It is still good as the fifty years ago, one of timeless songs! :)

  • Shit Beat-Haircut! In the 50's they looked cooler!

  • love those guys.grew up hearing these guys.the funny thing is that great music never gets old but our music these days get so old so quickly.says alot.

  • gr8

  • das lied wurde uns im musikuntericht am donnerstag gezeigt habs direkt in youtube gesucht weil ich das gut fand

  • Everly bros with mid 60's hair.. Wierd!

  • some of the best voices to ever hit this earth!!! i like their slower stuff more, also.

  • man i hate mop top hair keep the pompadour!

  • @bobluman4 You know, I was gonna say something but didn't want to be accused of being "shallow" or anything, lol. Some guys (like the EBs) just look better with their hair back.

  • @GingerGilligan i actually like the pompadour and no you dont sound shallow

  • Fantastic !!! i love it :)

  • cute;)

  • By the time this came out, I wasn't even talking to myself.

  • Funny the way Don sneaks a 'yeah yeah yeah' in there. They seem uncomfortable with this older hit, like they arent 'hip' anymore.

  • My son just got the latest copy of Guitar Player magazine, and, lo and behold, there on the back cover was a full page ad for Everly Music Company, with a great picture of none other than Phil Everly himself! Their Cleartone strings are the leading brand of treated strings worldwide. I feel like taking guitar lessons! Again! (Maybe it will take this time - with the proper strings! :-)) )

  • this can’t be the 50’s...it total British Invasion...look at the ruffles..the hair..total 60’s

  • imo the simon & garfunkel cover is better, but this is great too!

    bieber is kindergarten music

  • idk how this song has so little views while garbage like justin beiber has like 250mil views. is it that hard to tell whats good music?

  • @s104736 amen to that!

  • @s104736 youtubes new like bad music so good music is not as popular

  • @0007mgs unfortunately

  • @s104736 I feel your pain for sure! I am 39 and LOVE these guys inside and out......BUT you have to realize that the World changes as does the music...unfiortunately :( Justin Beiber, JLO, Usher are now IN. We can't ever change that, but can continue to listen to what we know is REAL music and not fake....chin up and keep believing< I am with you 100%

  • @s104736 Because garbage is in great music is out to bad but thats just the way it is.. Beiber is not fit to clean and tune these guys guitars.

  • love it

  • This song is so memorable and even though they may have been weary of singing it at this time .... what a great performance with amazing harmony !!!

  • the dude in the right looks like austin powers

  • @africah lol, it's just the hair... Peter Asher looks much more like Austin Powers for that matter.

  • rock on! xD

  • What if they were Wacked out? They still are the best!!!

  • which one the best?? jonas or everly?? i prefer everly

  • EVERLY all the time.

  • Everly bros, no contest!!

  • whats with the hair!!!

  • the fifties style

  • i don't know what year this was but maybe they liked the beatle cut or something.

  • @psmtheman this song was released in 1957 before our beloved Beatles came on the scene. The Everlys were a big influence on them especially Paul.

  • I'm aware that the song was RELEASED in 1957. But when was this performance?? The brothers both look considerably older than when they first performed the song. I was referring to their VISUAL style. The Beatle Hair Dos and the Matching Black Suits and the dance moves. What do you think?

  • I think he's referring to their hairstyles and how they dress, not their musical style.

  • @realdealoneill this is 1965

  • @realdealoneill they sure were, i am reading shout, the beatles and their generation, and they said that he and his brother would dress like them.

  • @realdealoneill you mean Paul of the Beatles.

  • @realdealoneill You can definitely see and hear it.

  • that was the style then. the rock "style" if you will. to say they ripped off the beatles is to say that slipknot stole the idea of wearing masks from the residents. one band came before the other. it just happened to have been cool what they did-even how they looked.

  • word... that makes sense.

  • @psmtheman Everly brothers were fitrst

  • @psmtheman They came way before the beatles :P

  • great performance, great song. thanks. -from turkey, cem

  • Great to see an old performance video of the Everly Brothers. I still love their music, and their voices formed perfect harmony. I'm trying to build up my iPod budget to add more Everyly Brothers.

  • Actually, I think they look and sound better as time goes on. They've always been incredible harmonizers.

  • sue4343

first time i heard this version of "bye bye love". it is pretty great and the guys look good as usual. i have loved them since 1962 when i was 12. they sound like angels to me.

  • I don't like the way they sing "bye bye" in these versions. I like the long sung "byeeeee byeeeee love" Oh well they must have gotten bored.

  • I agree maybe they wanted to sound like bye bye baby by the 4 seasons.

  • I doubt it. They were The Everly Brothers after all.

  • They'd been singing this song for about 11-12 years at this point and it is therefore bound to evolve. They were very intuitive singers so on a different night they probably would have sang it some other way.

  • agree

  • @spaceorbison I hear you. I thought I was the only one to think that lol

  • @spaceorbison ne, this one is better

  • @spaceorbison

no, this is better. the original version sucks. vocals sound too nasal

  • Wahouu, very nostalgic... Which Year please?

  • I love this Song. This is the best "Bye Bye Love" on You Tube. thank you

  • OMG!! A new Everly Brothers video. I thought I had seen all there was to see. Thank you and please keep them coming. We Everly Brothers addicts need new material!!

  • Awesome!
