@Skunkbeard9 you would not have internet or special effects and animated movies and super computers without linux.Not the mention the android phone :P
@Skunkbeard9 most people try ubuntu i did to but i do have to agree with you it is pretty complex i recommend trying opensuse, mint, mandreva, or kubuntu something with kde not gnome or unity (mint is gnome but they did it well so it is an exception) they are more user friendly than ubuntu but i will not say that there is not still a learning curve but it is worth it i still keep windows installed though for game compatibility but i dual boot because linux is better for everything else :)
if i buy a mac how am i stuck with only one product? if i buy a pc i'm still stuck with one product, instead of dissing macs and pc's, why not support them because they're the only bloddy machines that run your OS. seriously.
@WorldWideRomance you can also install linux on both of them or you can buy a pc with likux already on it or you can even build your own computer it is extreamly easy and it will save you almost $250!!! $350 if you dont plan to buy windows for a dual boot :)
