I am just totally satisfied with this mobile and don't regret buying it at all :)

What i dint like about this phone

- Unable to control music from headset (no buttons that skip song , control volume etc.. all has to be done by unlocking and onscreen controls )

- Had to install Voodoo Lagfix otherwise its too laggy

- Multitasking ends up draining the battery too quick , have to carry spare battery around

- Selected models have GPS issues

I was taken in by the hype .. i regret buying this phone

I have heard that these phones have a better more clearer screen on them than the Iphone 4. Also the iphone 4 has problems with looseing calls if you put you finger over where the area where it picks up recption and apprantly this area has been put excatly where you would want to hold the phone naturally so to me the Samsung is the best.

Do you have the same problem like me? When I hold the phone with my left hand, my connection gets lost? I tried to put on some shitty looking plastic on my phone, but still it is like crap.

Basically, the iphone itself has a pretty funny dark story. The software of the iphone is all programed by apple, but most of the hardwares are all created from samsung. That's why samsung galaxy looks a bit similar to the iphone. The reason why apple chose samsung to program their hardware was because samsung currently is the world's best hardware design. Apple still isn't prepared to create hardwares that well yet.

@Battery8807 No LED flash is a kick in the balls tbh. That and no joystick/roller ball or stereo speakers.

They could have really made this phone epic by using the space saved by using their latest AMOLED to fit a 2000-2500mAh battery. That would would have been unprecedented. Much like when the N95 dropped with features that most people did not expect in there wildest dreams a small phone to have.

Please think rationally.Samsung is not foolish enough to copy Iphone ignorantly. They want to show they can be like apple as well. future S life are going to be more unique.They are in their initial stages of testing customers response when they do the same.This is what I heard from an employee in samsung. samsung marketing strategy is vastly different from other companies.don't just criticise just bcoz its interface looks like Iphone.Always remember (1ayeyar2 )

There staggering lack of support for devices only 6months baffles the hell out of western customers who are generally not up for throwing away electronics every 5 mins like the S Koreans & Japanese.

In summary, you will never convince me that imitation of an inferior product is a 'marketing strategy' never-mind a good one.

It will be the ultimate android handset when it comes out (for a while, anyhow)... but you can forget the on the move parts in the UK....

Samsung have signed it over to Vodafone who drop their monthly data on 1st June from unlimited to 500mb/month after which the surcharges get stupid, so you'll only be able use google maps navigation for 2 days after which your allowance will be gone, so no email on the move, no facebook, no bebo, twitter or anything else that the phone is designed to do

@lezbriddon yep its tragic their support. Android being open source and developed independently somewhat insulates us from Samsung's bad support.

Ideally I would easily have a Nokia over this if Nokia announced meego was going to be standard and could release a capacitive multi-touch OLED device with a half decent CPU and 1500mAh battery. The N900 was nearly that device. The N97 was tempting but let down badly on core hardware spec and poor software & firmware.

Such a shame.

@workwpassion1 - copy iphonoe? give it a rest, its actually a copy of the 1998 casio pocket pc with GSM bolted on.... incase you have not noticed, all phones look the same, IE screen at front, buttons at the bottom, earpiece at the top... Anyhow this will be reliable and have FLASH .....

@snickersrullz It depends, Samsung Galaxy S has a Samsung Hummingbird CPU chip clock at 1 GHz, it is faster than Qualcomm Snapdragon's 1 GHz chip.

HTC Desire currently doesn't support HD video recording, but Samsung Galaxy S supports 720p HD video recording.

Samsung Galaxy S can remote control and stream data to a Samsung TV.

Samsung Galaxy S has video calling functionality and Swype technology.

It is confirmed that it could upgrade to Android 2.2 Froyo, which is great!

@snickersrullz Yes if you can live without a flash. If you go out a lot at night and taking pictures and uploading them to social networks is your thing. Go with the desire cause this can't take a damn thing as soon as it gets dark.

Don't listen to the fanboys who count the Galaxy S's gaming potential above real world practical smart phone features. I would swap that hummingbird SOC for a dual LED flash and prompt and lasting support (Froyo now and 3.0 and onwards in the future)
