  • I like this scuba video from Norway:

    Diving in Bishop Harbor

  • Give them a break its probably their first dive....

  • take these folk are inexperienced divers , use up some ammount of air

  • I learned to scuba dive in negril and i found the instructors to be very thorough, i learned neutral bouyancy, mask clearing, swapping regulators, breathing under water with no mask, breathing with broken regulator ,the list goes on!!

  • GET OFF THE BOTTEM....... Add a bit of air.....

  • I would suggest diving Jamaica with the Negril scuba centre, much more professional than these dive masters, they teach you about bouyancy so you're not kickin the heck out of the reef

  • wow, worst waterkills I`ve ever seen-

  • You guys need to chill Sandals offers first time Certifications for us newbies. I live for Granda Ocho Rios on March 5 it will be my first time too. I just hope I have as much fun as it looks like these guys did!

  • Man. This is some of the crappiest diving I've ever seen. They're waving their hands all over, kicking the coral, etc.. the instructor should have been helping them with their buoyancy to prevent such things.

  • Holy Crap Batman, who taught these people to dive? Let's go kick the Sh.. out of the ocean reefs. Buoyancy, trim, propulsion...What's that?

  • Well this video made my decision not to dive in Jamaica. Very little if any marine life...sad reef .... really looks beat to hell and clarity of the water for being right on the trench and in deep water is not as good as it should be.

Must be a group of newly certified divers. Dragging their octos and gauges, rapid finning and kicking, swimming with hands, irratic kicking, rapid breathing, standing on the sand, this should have been about 15 to 20 minute dive....

  • man, I really get you, I live in Cozumel, diving is awsome here.

  • The guy with the blue tanks on the left at 2:51 is losing air. and at 3:18 there is a huge cloud of sand because of ur poor buoyancy.

  • The guy on the left has bad equipment, he is losing air at 2:51

  • cool my dad is a diver

  • very sad buoyancy. its people like this that are destroying the coral reefs for everyone else. Ester, just so you know, when you bounce up and dont on the bottom with poor buoyancy, you destroy a living thing, the reef.

  • Are these certified Divers??

  • this is the perfect example of how not to dive....

  • lol that girl is so funny, first she is holding on to the guy's ass then later she's standing on his head.

  • The water is dirty and nasty.Just filthy. Its not clear as the waters in Hawaii!

  • not filth, algi

  • look at the state of some of their buoyancy, for example one guy at the start who is on the line is kicking non stop while vertical to stop from sinking :|

  • What a bunch of nobs, get off the fuckin' bottom!

  • Ocho Rios, Jamaica has amazing viz.......but we weren't 'walking on the bottom.' Dive master, fill their bc's a bit!

  • nice video

anyone who's interested in diving may also find the book "Scuba Diving & Snorkeling for Dummies" useful. it explains about free diving, special breathing techniques, emergency procedures, how to avoid the bends, how to handle dive anxiety etc

    selfservingbooks (.) com/dummies/Scuba-Diving-Snorkeling-Dummies-Newman/1122

    [replace (.) with . ]

  • I just wanted to squirt a little gas in their bc's. Anything to get them off the bottom. Wow. Watch the viz go away! Still fun though, eh?

  • that whole dive looked like a disaster, someone should teach them how to dive before you let them stamp over all the coral. you should be ashamed of yourselves!!

  • I guess they havent been taught about neutral boyancy yet then?

  • Where are the sharks???

  • Scuba diving is awesome. I just did the beginner's course in Cancun and it was pretty much a private lesson because literally nobody else was there.

  • SCUBA is so much fun!

  • Looks like a beginners class, one thing I didnt like about Negril was the big groups you had to dive with

  • that is one of the most awsome adventures one can do in this life.i got caught up in some currents when I was a teenager and stil have a scar from it during rescue.have not done it since.wow i miss it.

  • i love how everyone is standing on the bottom stirring up the dirt and screwing up the visability

  • Hey I know that Boat!!! That's Bubbles from the

Couples In Bloody Bay!!! That was Sinker (Dwayne) driving!!! Awesome group those guys! Is Meg still there?

  • bello, molto bello!

  • im a recue diver at 15 years old, i gotta wait 3 years before i can become a divemaster

  • I'm 13 and i'm a Jnr. Advanced O/W. You can still become a Master Scuba Diver; is just as good, plus you aren't tied down to any commmitments.

  • good for you,and good luck

  • Just done my PADI Open water. Just like some of the divers in this vid I was up and down like a loon trying to get my buoyancy right, expending far too much energy, used roughly twice as much air as my instructor :-D

Got better in time though. Loved the whole experience.

  • I just got certified last year. Im going in cuba in a while to.

  • terrible buoyancy everyone! thanks for walking on the reef!

  • i did my padi course on holiday. Fuertaventura is a really nice place to dive. At Deep Blue in corralejo

  • From what Im seeing Red Sea is more nice...

  • im 12 and i just got certified so im gonna make my first open-water dive soon^^

  • you can be 10 years old and be a padi jouiner diver and go 40 feet

  • The shop at my city is 12 and up.

  • Why did they not release some air from that girls BCD?

  • I dove in Jamaica in 2005. I do not care to go back. I enjoyed Cozumel a lot more.

  • indonesia's sea is much better than this...

  • red sea is quite good aswell

  • Guantanamo Bay looks better than this (seriously... Cuba is nice). Great viz. Nice reefs. And just what the hell are they doing anyway? Looks like a bunch of novice divers struggling with bc issues.

  • Jamaica is a pretty crappy place to dive i dove there like 5 times does not compare to PR which is one of the best places to dive in the Carribean

  • wheres this song from again..i kno ive heard it before the first one

  • how old do u have to be to scuba dive???

  • not sure but I know you have to be licensed =P

  • you have to be at least 12 years old to get your jr. open water lic. but someplaces offer a resort course like probably the place in this video did where you take the course and then take you diving.

  • i dont see why people scuba dive,it seems dangerous to me,i mean theres sting rays and jellyfish, and those things that blend in with the bottom of the ocean

  • coz its fun! that place doesnt have much coral though

  • this dive was probably done in about 25-30 minutes just judging by how much air these guys are using.

  • ever heard of white-balance?

  • I'd hate to be following that lot. Kicking up so much crap. You're supposed to swim, not walk around on the bottom !!

  • a bit boring, but thats hard work on the vid thx

  • That was very boring.

  • i love diving but its little bit dangros..sharks and snakes..shit...

  • How did you take these pictures...underwater camera? I took the dive class in MoBay, they highly suggested wet suits. I wish we would have had a video of the experience. I fell in love with scuba diving. Hope to get certified here at home.

  • oh my gosh i like jamaica and but you guys are destroying it you have awful buoyancy and none of the essential equipment LIKE YOUR WETSUIT and you are probably gonna get shaking and you will wait till tunnel vision, rush to the surface and give yourself the bends

  • like the water over there is quite warm think about it....

  • Caribbean not a good reef fish area, more of a desert ecologically speaking, pelagics are numerous but gotta troll for miles

Too many people bouncing off the bottom for it to be beautiful, strong trade winds, but a great memory sure, but dont forget the whole point of Scuba diving: "To not Die"

    DD O'Keefe

    KeyLargo BD (Before Donna)

Dont cuss me Kimberly McFarlane, kiss yo moma with that mouth?

  • GUYZ.

why not just have fun watching a nice video ?!

    :) ty for sharing =] - looks like a lot of fun .. :)

I loved the back ground music

  • good thinking =) no,im not being sarcastic wait did i spell that right

  • u peoeple a jus hating the wata nuh duty is the lighting on the camera u dum ass

  • ok now I see why Sharks have abandon the island. where are the fishes? I wish the island improve the water

  • man i went diving in jamaica it was butiful there :)

  • if u want real clear water & incredible range of

fish & coral then the great barrier reef in OZ takes some beating

  • the water looks dirty go to Hawaii is better trust me

  • Fuck you!

  • Tried diving jamaica. What a cattle boat., reefs what reefs, sand and dead coral. no vibrant coarls like bahams of St barts area

  • He's preparing a fish to feed his family. Killing for no reason is mean, hey vegans people still got to eat. Be thankful your fat and can live off ypur body where you have about 300 chips stashed between your rolls, if your hungry and without, killing an animal to eat seems reasonable.

  • jef848 in philipines in boracay?:>

    i do scubba there! :D

  • Cut them some slack, I'm pretty sure this is the non-certified dive offered at one of the local resorts in Negril. Hopefully they gained a love of Scuba, and learned the right way to dive and protect the reef.

  • St.lucia is wayyyyyyy better

  • Fuck u too!

  • try tubbataha reefs in the philppines

  • I don't know about Jamaica, but The Bahama's are awesome and you don't need your scuba diving certification to go there either. But the Bahamas are pretty expensive. Look around.

  • it would be great to be there but you must not touch the "floor"you must be all ways floating an the roupe what for

    its ridiculous

  • Look like they had fun ....

    they really are first timers

They don t know how to dive at all ...

  • love the way none of them can dive, AND WHY is one of them breathing from their octo?

yeah cheers guys for making the world of divers look like a bunch of reef killing inconsiderate gimps

  • I remember my first time in St. Martin at age 19.

It ultimately led to me joining the Navy, lol.

  • Cuantos cacanautas dando vueltas. Equipo colgando, pisando el fondo, un desastre.

  • breaks my heart to see the reefs being treated this way. At least the guide took these people somewhere there wasnt too much they could break but still... and what's that he's handing them at the end.

This goes against all my training and my efforts to maintain good buoyancy. I will continue to preach good buoyancy skills and I might site this video as "how to kill a reef in one day". Thanks for uploading it

  • bunch of idiots who broke so many corals with their fins!!!

  • if it bothers you so much, why don't jump off a fucking cliff? While you're at scream 'i am a fucking retard'

  • honestly, guys why pay the money to go to jamacia, when there is way way way way way more interesting stuff in west palm cause i went scuba diving in west palm i saw cow fish, goat fish, tons of lobster, alot of other fish i cant name, acouple of nurse sharks, lemon shark, and alot of coral alot of star fish so yeah west plam way better ohh yeah also a hammer head shark but he is not there any more some dumb fuk killed him

  • and i also saw alitle leather head turtle and a 5 ft sea turtle i swear to god i am not lieing that thing looked narly to it had barnicals on it it was swimming right beside the nurse shark and it was just lil bit bigger than the nurse

  • That looks like alot of fun!=)

  • The dude on the left at about 2:53 has a leak in his system!!!

  • I hate them see diving like that.

Boyancy.... This is a typical Padi diving stuff video. They have probably 10 years of experience @ 2 dives a year ... and lots of specialty cards

  • nice place to dive...but seriously keep off the bottom learn something called neitral bouyancy...you and others will have a much nicer experience

  • you should probably learn how to spell neutral before you go around lecturing people.

  • Not much life in that water!

  • Be a reef lover and ALWAYS hover!!!! BTW E.A.N. does not increase bottom time. Looked like a lot of resort certs. Repeat after me...neutral bouyancy...NEUTRAL BOUYANCY. The girl in the yellow fins is a mess. I hope she survived. I hope the reef did too.

  • I agree with you Quag, 100%. I hate to see these kinds of boobs under water. Seems like even their guide is all over the bottom too.

  • i love seeing boobs underwater.

  • Right, you've got me there.

  • Congrats on your first dive trip Krynsky!

    Dive safe!

  • the underwater filming is of really poor quality. Jamaica hasn;t got good diving - SE Asia is where the good stuff is!!

  • the water isn't that clear.

  • if you like jamaica, google "the hidden jamaica"

  • guess you had to be there

  • marijuana grows under water in Jamacia

  • Weren't you cold without a wetsuit?

  • How do you breathe under there!? amazing

  • this must be a resort course. haha i like all the people kicking like they are pedaling a bike, not doing a scissor kick like they should.

  • yea you guys really need to take your time its about going slow and seeing everything

  • What the fuck are you doing flailing your arms, using the wrong amount/distribution of weight, sucking down your air by working too hard to right yourselves due to your lack of neutral buoyancy, kicking up silt, and just sucking miserably.

  • dam dude take it easy.

  • Please, please learn to dive before you wreck the reefs of the world when on holiday,

this looks more like walking than swimming underwater.

It breaks me to see this

  • +1, Agreed!

  • belize is so much better

  • music = Enya

  • you can go past 18 feet fuck head the max is around 120 feet i do wreck diving around 80 in 4 degree water all the time

  • achilles6312 u cant go to 60 feet its unsafe after 46 so u will probably die at bout.......18

  • the recreational max is 40metres

then if you go for technical diving you can go past it about 60 is the maximum overall.

  • Recreational diving is "ma 18 metres", not 40!!!

  • yor age depends if your with PADI divers or BSAC

  • bull worth you have to be 10 years old so srry and iam 15 and can g 60 feet, so when your 16 you csan go unlimted amount of feet, theatricaly, your body cant take the preuaers for to long, thats why they invent the navy dive table's. which states that a person can only go to 135 feet in a wetsuit for only 5 minutes.

  • Wearing a wetsuit has nothing to do with it, and if you are diving nitrox, you could stay down longer. stop arguing.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS THESE PEOPLE ARE DESTROYING THIS REEF, learn to keep your buoyancy.

  • PLS. don´t destroy the reef!!!!

  • nice

  • no you cant go scuba diving in the sea at 4 years old or 10 years old =[ sorry 16 at the least i think

  • omg im only ten and in febuary at my distric you can get if you are ten so im going too!!! OMG im soooo excited i was skipping around the house!

  • is it possoble to get the urge to sneeze while scuba diving..just wondering..never dont it..is it that u wouldnt get the urge to sneeze becuase there wouldnt be anything to irritate ur nasal cavity, sinuses etc ?

  • im only 4 years old and im a dive instructor.

  • riiiiiiight

  • I think my scuba video is pretty good. Could you please watch it! I'm only 12 and I got certified!!

  • lawl u can get certificated if your under 18.... im 15 and i got certificated

  • I dived Mo bay August 07, 2 days before hurricain Dean,60m viz brill...

  • jamaica has many beaches there.Obviously they weren't so far out into the ocean, and if they had went to a better beach. The scenery would have been better. This one looks messed up.

  • Nice job f*** up the reef...stick to shallow sandy bottom dives until you are responsible enough to dive around coral!

  • WATERS VERY CLEAR I SEE!!

  • I wish i cood scuba dive. unfortunately i liv rite in the center of the world, Missouri. or at least the center of America

  • What did you see on your first time scuba diving?

  • wow...u guys are noobs...anyways this is open water training right? and the reason u cant see all the reefs is because below like 10 feet you lose all reds, and by 30 ft greens i think...and unless the camera had a strobe u couldnt see most of the stuff

  • I am 11 and i scuba dive

  • We were all newbies once so who cares,, anyway if ur under 18 u cant get the certificate, so if ur a teen ud better not be talkin bout newbies,,, btw im a teen :)

  • Um yes you can get certified if you're under 18... I'm 15 and I'm a PADI certified OW diver.

  • you have to be over 15 to be a fully certified padi diver...

    i know since im 17 and i was certified at 16 :P

  • where r the reefs? looks like nothing is there

  • guys...settle who cares if they are begginers....if u love diving...u should be open to all begginers

  • Jamaica diving. pretty sad. Clearly these are newbies. I found most reefs dead litle to see except dead corals and losts of sand. Not a good advertisement for diving in jamaica.

  • u were a begginer once and who the fuck cares

  • its not only ja its very where ...dont u read about global warming?

  • Nice video...

  • cool video, but crappy buoyancy control by most of the divers.

  • Shame that the dive school does not take better care of it's underwater environment - hope that you had a good time and that you keep diving.

  • are there any good scuba diving spots around Connecticut?

    i bet not...

i want to go diving in hawii and at the great barrier reef and such but its too expensive..

  • Full live aboard Galapagos Islands diving cruises to see Whale sharks, rays, turtles and penguins I travel by GALASAM . COM

  • Sorry to see so much stirred up down there but still it takes time to learn how to keep OFF THE BOTTOM as some have said. But when you are there there you are so go for it! I learned in a lake in branson, mo... cheap fast good teachers with years of exp. NO CORAL.

But I'm not ANAL about it!

  • yea very good great fun

  • get PADI training. like many people said, practice in a pool boyancy control, don't walk on the coral, this is aquatic life's homes. what you are doing is basically like elephants dancing in a china shop with no regard to their environment. scuba lets us visit incredible places, but we must do it with respect.

  • Clip your console to your BCD or stuff it inside near your waist so it is not dragging across the reef; clip your octo to your BCD so it is not dragging across the reef, keep your fins away from the reef, and stay at least 3 feet above the reef until you improve your buoyancy control.

  • jealous!

  • wow cool!

  • do they alow gloves in jamaica?

  • Negril eh? I was at the resort right next to you guys I was at beaches sandy bay. I went snorkling but thats it. I wasnt certified for scuba diving yet. But were going again next year and I am now certified :)

  • This was in Negril Jamaica at the Sandals Resort.

  • sorry to see you killin all the coral. please don't touch next time with your flippers...bad bouyancy and sheer ignorance of the delicate nature of the ecosystem.

  • Hey, im doing my open water diving course in 2 weeks, part over here in the uk then ill get a referral and go out to menorca to complete it, after seeing this vid, i cant wait. Good vid and what was that person scared to touch lol. Whitty

  • Hi whittydosomething, good to hear that you are learning diving.I had some videos at splashvision . com which will help you to know more about scuba diving.Hope it will help you.Reply me back if it had really helped you.

  • @rabbitinthehat...yes I had about 5 hours of training in a swimming pool and got an "international certification".

To those with negative feedback...this was my first time ever scuba diving and we listened and followed everything the trainer told us to do. Based on your comments they didn't do a good job of that and I will be more careful if / when I get a chance to dive again.

  • hey can i ask something? Basically i went scuba diving but it was a very bad traumatic experiance, everything went wrong, the company i was with put me on the beach, put the equipment on me and dragged me out into the sea. it did not go well. Before you did your scuba dive did you practice in a swiming pool or something? I never did, anyone please reply back to me, as this experiance left me really upset, but i still want to scuba dive.

  • Hello, sorry to hear of your bad experience, but don't give up. You should have had proper training first and build up your confidence in a pool first and then with a dive master. Scuba Diving is a great lifestyle and you should get back in the water again soon like falling off a horse and get back on it. Good luck. Also check out my video 'Diving in Cebu with LudwigW and Friends"

  • I am of the opinion that scuba diving is something you never talk anyone else into. You need to come to it on your own. It's a head game. If you are already traumatized seek EXPERT training first and begin again if you feel you can overcome the past experience. Spend some money. That's real easy in this pass time. Own your own equipment especially regulators and computers and mask fins snorkle and wet suit. I am replying 9 months later....best wishes if you ever even read this.

  • This is just outside of Bloody Bay in Negril I think it's call Fantasy Reef, and yes it looks like the camera and everything else is being bounced off of the coral. ouch guys.

  • You give a bad name to scuba diving. Get more pool time before you ruin the coral. Most of you need to work on buoyancy control, and learn how kick properly. This is a disaster!

  • although ur not supposed to touch the bottom i guess these people dont care lol
