Gilles Apap est plus un acrobate du violon qu'un bon virtuose. A force de vouloir savoir tout faire, il ne fait rien correctement. Il a déserté la France et c'est tant mieux , il nous reste les violonistes sérieux qui travaillent leurs talents comme Renaud Capuçon.

This incredible concerto was written by a 13-year old Mendelssohn,

Unfortunately its celebrity is obscured by the more famous Concerto in E minor op. 64.

Thanks to Sir Yehudu Menuhin it has not been forgotten. I wonder if a video exists of his interpretation.

Gilles Apap est un musicien absolument génial, hors du commun, et joue du façon saine. C'est pas tout le monde qui saura le comprendre... Il faut être un peu plus sensible à la musique pour le comprendre... D'autres n'auront pas cette chance.

Je ne conviens pas. Apap pense trop fortement à la musique "commune". Ces formes simples de musique étaient autour à Mozart... Certains des choix musicaux d'Apap sont insipides.
