I am Albanian orthodox for example. But I dont feel threatened by Albanian muslims or catholics. I know that we are all brothers. Descendants of ancient Illyrians. Illyrians were just one tribe of the great Pelasgic people. The others were the Dorians, the Ionians, the Macedonians, the Epirote etc. All of them were brothers, shared dialects of the same language. My opinion is that "Greeks" and "Hellenes" are two VERY VERY different nations. It is the Hellenes who left their mark in history, who wrote the first language in Europe and who gave us philosophy, theater and many other interesting discoveries. Those men are almost extinct in the cities, mixed up with turks, egyptians, slaves etc. The surviving, pure ones, are those conservative, old fashioned people who live mostly in highlands or villages, and who call themselves arvanites.

The reason why Arvanites in Greece and Albanians in Albania (and Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, etc) have the same language, is not because Arvanite immigrated from Albania. This is what immigrants from Asia Minor want us to believe. The reason is that like Illyrians, Dorians too preserved the ancient form of the language spoken by all pelasgians. Greek and Albanian are cousin languages. Only that greek is a more developed form, with many contributes by Asia minor barbaric languages

Albaninas are Greeks. If albania was a part of Greece since 1821 now Albanians would be in EU, they wouldn't have been a communist state, they would not have been occupied from serbians and they would be prosperous like the rest of Greece. And the most important they wouldn't have been islamised by the Othoman empire. Arvanites knew something back then and they created the Greek state. The Albanians obviously are missing something...

I am Albanian orthodox for example. But I dont feel threatened by Albanian muslims or catholics. I know that we are all brothers. Descendants of ancient Illyrians. Illyrians were just one tribe of the great Pelasgic people. The others were the Dorians, the Ionians, the Macedonians, the Epirote etc. All of them were brothers, shared dialects of the same language. Some were more advanced some others (like us) lived in mountains with sheeps and preserved older forms of language. The end

My opinion is that "Greeks" and "Hellenes" are two VERY VERY different nations. It is the Hellenes who left their mark in history, who wrote the first language in Europe and who gave us philosophy, theater and many other interesting discoveries. Those men are almost extinct in the cities, mixed up with turks, egyptians, slaves etc. The surviving, pure ones, are those conservative, old fashioned people who live mostly in highlands or villages, and who call themselves arvanites.

The reason why Arvanites in Greece and Albanians in Albania (and Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, etc) have the same language, is not because Arvanite immigrated from Albania. This is what immigrants from Asia Minor want us to believe. The reason is that like Illyrians, Dorians too preserved the ancient form of the language spoken by all pelasgians. Greek and Albanian are cousin languages. Only that greek is a more developed form, with many contributes by Asia minor barbaric languages

Albaninas are Greeks. If albania was a part of Greece since 1821 now Albanians would be in EU, they wouldn't have been a communist state, they would not have been occupied from serbians and they would be prosperous like the rest of Greece. And the most important they wouldn't have been islamised by the Othoman empire. Arvanites knew something back then and they created the Greek state. The Albanians obviously are missing something...
