  • is it good to use the rubber band method?

  • Very informative! Thank you! I am still debating on whether or not to dread...

  • do you leave the rubber bands you used in your hair or do you take those out so they dont damage your hair or do you leave them in?

  • i love your voice marry me

  • Where did you get your comb again?

  • that looks like a flea comb

  • say your hair grows and you have straight hair instead of dreads at the roots. how do u fix that?

  • @eakhful Well they came out really nice :)

  • how much would it cost to go to a hair stylist? and could a white boy pull it off?

  • @twinkletoedfairy I don't know because I did mine myself, as the video states. It depends on where you are and how much somebody wants to rip you off. Race isn't an issue unless you think it is, and it seems like you're conscious of it anyway. This is your choice, I can't give you any definitive answers to questions like that!

  • I love your dreads. I hate seeing people with those big, ugly, did them myself because i was bored so i have a total of 10 in my whole head dreads. -____-

  • @MizMimiCullen I did them myself and it was simply luck that they turned out like they did, I think. Everybody will have different dreads and that's the beauty of it.

  • oh this girl is cute...nice video really helpful

  • this is super helpful, ive been considering them fer like a year now and i think yew helped convince me all the way, lol. very pretty : ]

  • @Quiggzilla Yay! Good luck :)

  • she has such a cute face !! and her dreads look pretty and nice and clean unlike other peoples !

  • dreads will come naturally, without shampoos and stuff, which is the point of dreads.

  • @SuperFirstComment Natural dreads will form over time if you just leave your hair, I know. These videos only describe my journey, the methods I used, and my experiences of them. What 'the point' of dreads is can be totally different depending on the individual or culture.

  • sheeee is sooo fineeeeeeeeeeee ohh and by the way i like ur dreads

    :)

  • Your dreads are beautiful

  • she looks like shaundie from saints row 2 lol

  • your dreads are so perfect!

  • about how big were the sections you did? I know you said you didn't really pay much attention but I'm going to do mine myself and I love the width of yours.

  • aww i really wanna have sex with u and im a girl O__O

  • @LAClippersfan2 Educate yourself on the history of dreadlocks- by which I mean read something legit, not a 20 second video that simply consists of photographs. They are not exclusive to one race or culture, but are present in many different cultures throughout the history of the world.

  • @eakhful what ever we do cave people going to copy us

  • @LAClippersfan2 I'm sorry that you feel that way. Clearly the best way to go about making things better is to comment all over some white stranger's youtube video about hair though, right? Right?

  • @eakhful I'm shure that the three dislikes are from LAClippersfan2 lol, anyways I like your locs !! :)

  • @LAClippersfan2 Possibly one of the most ignorant comments.

  • @LAClippersfan2 i think if you were true to the culture of where dreadlocks come from you would know that was an ignorant comment.

  • @LAClippersfan2 Are you fucking retarded? The Egyptians were THE FIRST people to start dreads. So get your facts straight. Do you know what that means? WHITE PEOPLE, were the first dreaders.

  • @xxkhareyxx But.. Egyptians aren't white..

And I think that dreadlocks are much much older than countries..

  • @Memberotto Egyptians arent black either. Point.

  • @xxkhareyxx They're kinda... brown?

  • @xxkhareyxx haha egyptians are from Africa, that means that they are african, get your facts straight, and who cares where it started, were you there? ok then, you cant just lump one ggroup together and say they started something. If you cant prove it then you dont know...so stfu. A lot of cultures did dreads.

  • @JameeyJ Which was the fucking point. That you obviously didn't see. It doesn't matter who started dreads, They aren't just for people of African cultures. So YOU shut the fuck up.

  • Thank you so much! You've answered all my questions! :) Thanks again

  • I've been looking for a really informative website or video about this and I just couldn't seem to find one. There were too many questions I had by the end. But you just answered all of them. Thank you SO much for putting this up here!

  • uhm a made a video just now hoping you could answer all my question personaly i hope you would but yea

  • @TuR7leisMe Hi, it seems that all of your questions (of which I could only really discern one?) can be answered by watching the videos I have already uploaded. In my opinion, you should grow your hair for a couple more months before beginning.

  • @eakhful yea im very sorry that video was stupid and i get nervous i will make another soon because there some things i have to ask that you did not go over

  • How many dreads do you have? I have no idea how to section my hair so i have many little dreads like yours.

  • @Goth47 I have between 40-50 dreads, they're almost impossible to count alone, but they are all different sizes- some are chunky and some are tiny.

  • your really pretty and have a nice soothing voice & accent.

  • So your dreads are completely natural? No wax no lock accelerater? Nothing? Please help me? I want to dread my hair but I'm totally lost

  • @TaylorBrookeLovesYou They are totally natural, I used a little wax at the start but combed it out because you don't need any of that stuff. This 'lock accelerator' stuff is just to make money, there's no need for it at all. Watch the videos, see my faq at my tumblr page, and just keep researching- they're easy, you just need patience! X

  • Your dreads look awesome! In my dreads, there are a lot of loops I cant seem to get in, and also there are parts of the dreads that havent dreaded. Ive had them since july. Thanks!

  • youre lovely :3

  • you carry your dreads so neatly...

  • you are the most beautiful person i have ever seen. i am so jealous.

  • How long was your hair before you started dreading your hair?

  • Thanks so much for making this video! I love your hair! Great info!

  • i used a plastic comb and it worked just fine ;)

  • @chupamipitofy Well, good for you. In my experience a plastic comb wasn't strong enough for the intense back combing I did and simply broke apart. These videos are only my advice from my journey, by no means do I claim to know everything and be right in every single case. Do what works for you, and good luck on your journey.

  • oh my, u look so hot think i have a crush on you :)

  • HOLY CRAP!!! i just saw on your tumblr that you like city and colour?!?! hes my favorite!!! you just got 10x's cooler. :P

  • Beautiful hair!

  • Did you watch the whole video? I think I discuss it in this one, if not in the next one.

  • Mkayy so how exactly do yuu wash your head And hair.

or whtt do yuu use. how often..? anyone? LOL..

  • only six months!!!! my guess was at least two years

  • hi, just wanted to ask you a couple of questions, ,first i love love your dreads, my dreads are 80 days old i lost alot of length about 7 in there very short an when i wash they seem to be getting shorter, they are locked pretty much, should i be putting anything on them after i wash or should i just leave them be , should i palm roll after i wash??? for some reason they just dont look that great right know do you have any tips for me??? please need some help. thank you.

  • Hello, I'm an asian male, I just want to ask if dreads looks good on an asian. Also do I need straight and soft hair for dreads? Because my hair is very thick and slightly curly.

  • @sairoku I have a friend of a friend who's asian and he has really long dreads. They look good on him, so I wouldn't worry about that at all. As for needing soft and straight hair for dreads, it's not really necessary. If anything, it's better if your hair is thick. The dreads will grow out and form quicker.

  • Oh you are fucking stunning.

  • about how long did it take to dreak your whole head?

  • Thank you for the video, it was quite thorough.

  • @pnmusic

I had dreads for about 6 months and ended up brushing them out. Now I have my healthy hair back but I had to cut a few inches off. It takes HOURRRSS to comb out though.

  • ha! my dad called me sideshow bob for about my first month!

  • You are a goddess :********

  • how badly does it damage your hair? like i love my hair its super long & healthy but im thinking about getting dreads but if i do wanna go back to normal like my hair how it was would it be like impossible? because everyone said you have to cut them off after and your hair gets really damaged

  • @pnmusic It's not impossible to brush them out with a load of conditioner and a lot of patience, but if you're concerned about getting rid of them before they're even created then I'd say don't go for them just yet. It's a big commitment and you need to be sure you're going to love them and be patient with them for as long as it takes. Of course it will damage the hair to some extent, depending more on the method you use. It's not something to go in to lightly.

  • Any non dread related questions can be answered at my page, eakiffh.tumblr.com.

  • I really want to have sex with you!

  • @BigEyeGreedy This is a really strange thing to say on a video about dreadlocks...

  • @eakhful Sorry, just being honest..

  • damn sexy... what kind of drugs do you do?

  • You are so pretty

  • @MrJakeJimmy i agree :D

  • youre beautiful, and thanks for the help

  • Cool hair! Will you do mine please?

  • How often do you wash your dreads?

I am thinking about getting dreads around Christmas vacation and right now my hair is 4 inches long, when it is wet it would be by the top of my eyes. Do you think i could get dreads if i let it grow out more until Christmas Vacation Around the 22 of December ? PS: i have thick hair what grows like a inch every 1(1/2) months to 2 months (whatever is the normal for 15 year old males) ?

  • Beautiful dreads!

  • your locks look awesome..im going the neglect route and have cleaned up a few with the t&r. but with the neglect ive got like 2 spots that have like 2 or 3 dreads worth of hair in a bunch and its super hard to try to get that apart..you got any angles on that?

  • Yay! I'm so happy you started to make videos about your dreads! I'm a dedicated follower on your Flickr page :3

I've always been jealous of how gorgeous your dreads were right from the get-go. I'm beckydahlart on Flickr, in case you're curious :)

  • how long was your hair before you dreaded it?

is there anything you would do differently with your dreads if you could?

    what tattoos do you have?

what made you want to lock your hair?

do you use any sprays or teas?

  • Just over 6 months! :)

  • love your style! :] and how long have you had your dreads??
