What a wonderful video! What a wonderful man! I'm totally envious, at 72 years of age, of his flying career. He did it HIS way, no question about it. Thanks, N-6395T
You did an amazing job with this video. My uncle retired from United after 30 years and is now home driving my aunt crazy:-) Actually he has a real estate office and sends daily inappropriate jokes everyday via email. We lovingly look forward to them (kinda). What is Frank doing today? Our prayers and well wishes are with him and his beautiful family! Congratulations!! PS - A drug test?? He looks like a real "stoner", NOT!!!
Great video. I can't help but get teary-eyed when I hear of last flights. I've been on duty (air traffic control) with a few of them, due to retirement, airline closure, or pilot resignation. They are always emotional on both sides of the radio. I hope Frank went on to enjoy his love of flying in new pursuits. He was a lucky man to have flown arguably the greatest aircraft ever built. Boeing 757-200.
I've always flown with American Airlines in and out of Boston, MA. and I would just like to say that I am a passenger that is absolutely glad to fly with American Airlines due to the amazing crew. I will continue flying with this airline as long as I can! God bless you Frank and best wishes!
Very fitting and appropriate video for someone who loved and most definitely still loves what he did. 14 000 hours with one company is just ridiculous! Congrats on retirement (even though it happened a while ago)...I hope to end up on one of your flights some time! Take care and fly safe!
I plan to fly for American one day. I'm only 11 years old and know each airliner out there. The worst part of your career is retirement. I love to fly.
its so fucking sad it made me cry ,,,if i become a pilot for a big airline i would never want to stop flying ,,i have seen seniors pilot cry in their seat because of their retirement ,,we fly because we love it not because of the damn money,,thats why i work from 7am to 11pm to pay for my pilot school ,,,,nice video love it
Dear Frank, as a pilot who has been exploited, underpayed, and who is now unemployed and close to lose hope, I hope someday I'll have the chance to retire as you did, with a smile on my face and the feeling that something will always be missing in my life from then on. Cheers Captain, and thank you.
Congratulation Frank! I hope you will accomplish your new challenges and dreams that offer the retirements! All step in life bring new opportunities that wait for us to master and enjoy...
It must be hard to retire after 23 years of flying. Congratulations Frank, I am sure there are other exciting stuff,he will do in retirement, still look good and healthy. Canon 5D Mark II is an excellent camera, widely used by professionals. Good job and good editing as well.
Great video, you should consider teaming up with Justplanes or worldairroutes to do a cockpit DVD on American Airlines....they just did a series with Air Canada!
Hi, Very nice video! I will be starting flight training in a few months! I have 2 questions to ask, 1, All the pilots I see carry larger luggage bags (like the ones Captain Frank is carrying in this video), and I don't see plain old suitcases anymore. Is that because nowadays there is more to carry on board? and 2, When you are hired to fly for an airline, do you get to choose whether you want to wear long or short sleeve shirts? I see 90% wear short sleeve, and a few with long sleeve. Thanks
