I'm guessing the people in the black car were bad guys? In which case "Jesus Mike" really lives up to his name by going to try and help. Or else they were just random victims and the Indian guy is a real dick.
Either way, I've always wanted to see an invisible wall, and now I have.
Thx very much for posting, tried to look for this movies for years, but can't, not even Amazon. I saw it in Hong Kong as a a kid, my mom brought me and my brother, we talked about this clip scene when watching in cinema. But it was around early 80's, didn't know it's released in US in '75. Hard to forget, invisible wall to shield from the car chasing them. The kid me think Jan-Michael Vincent very good-looking.
This movie scared the shit out of me when I was 9. That damned indian masked haunted me for years after that, I guess it still does. The scene in the swimming pool is what freaked me out the most. What the hell were my parents thinking. Didn't swim for awhile after that.
It's not a lost film. It still shows up occasionally on various movie channels; I watched it several times last year on a cable channel.
I saw this one in the theater a couple of times and have never fallen out of love with it. Actually, it's a family favorite, especially because of Chief Dan George.
This clip contains one of our favorite scenes: the invisible wall!
HOLY SHIT!!!!!!! For years I've been trying to remember this movie I watched as a kid. It's just something you can never forget once watched. I googled everything that I can remember about the movie with no luck till tonight. THANKS FOR POSTING THIS! Now, where can I find the full version to watch again? This is a good day my friend, thank you!!!!!!!!
I last saw that movie when it aired on TV back in the late 70's. I've been trying to find a copy on DVD. Some company had it listed on their website, but I'm not sure if I can trust the source..obviously something they transfered from VHS.
Thanks for posting this! I remember seeing this in the Bronx NY at a double feature on Allerton Ave when I was a kid. I loved it. I have it on dvd someone gave me because I think it's hard to get.
I remember seeing it at a movie theatre in 1976 in Columbus, Ohio. Vincent was the man in the 70's. Years of hard drinking, he looks terrible these days.
An amazing effect. At first I thought it was done by steel cables under the car, but I can't see any there. Spooky.
