Let's also be clear that the Iran vote was definetly not a vote war war as certain candidates have tried to mislead Americans into beliving, so please don't say that or you r the one's responsible to give Bush a mandate to interpret it that way. My understanding was that it was a "sense of senate vote" My understanding upon loking upp the definition was that it was a vote to express the oppinion of the senate but was not the passing of a law.

Yes of course they were all clear that it was a vote POTENTIALLY to go to war. But it was not a direct vote 4 the authorisation for Bush to launch an immediate, unilateral, preemptive war without confirmation from the UN inspectors that WMD existed & without diplomatic efforts being pursued 1st. So stop trying to mislead the public & give credibility to Bush's interpretation of the vote which certainly gave him no such authority. Bush is warmongering dictator that should be impeached.

Hillay's very 1st sentence of her 02' speech is clear proof that her position upon voting in 02' was certainly not authorising Bush's action on declaring an immediate, unilateral, preemptive war without waiting 4 the UN inspectors conclusion on WMD, or pursuing diplomacy 1st:

"Today we are asked whether to give the President of the United States authority to use force in Iraq SHOULD DIPLOMATIC EFFORTS FAIL to dismantle Saddam Hussein's chemical and biological weapons and his nuclear program."
