  • Iam happy that more and more people are awakening and taking the path that will help us all The phycopatic ways that have led humankind in suffering and pain .Hope is real now for the next generations no matter what selfish interests may try to block us on the way to freedom we,ll get there.

  • just keep noticing that you are thinking, that is being present.

  • @uklondon10 focus on your breathing, just breath and be the breath every step of the way other thinking will subside during this time but you can't check to see that your aren't thinking cause then your thinking about not thinking.

  • @uklondon10 you are resisting thinking.. don't resist anything.. that's the whole point. When you catch yourself thinking, just watch it and know that a thought came and KNOW that you are not the thought. That is all pretty much. Always watching automatically puts you always into the present moment. And make sure your breathing is natural. BREATH in life, relax, watch, and enjoy life! Kind of like your own movie huh hehe

  • @uklondon10 ok, when you catch yourself 'thinking about thinking about thinking' or whatever, just quietly label this stuff 'talk' to yourself, and often it'll just drop away.

  • Every time I lose direction I always come back to his videos. His philosophies along with his soothing voice are great at quieting an overactive mind. Purely profound. His videos have opened my eyes, mind, and heart to finally lucidly realizing that life is beautiful and the present moment is all we have.

  • when i don't think i end up thinking about not thinking...

  • Eckhart always seems a bit "slow" whenever he tries to recall something, any of you guys think its because he's present in the moment and not used to thinking of his past experiences? Thoughts anyone?

  • @bergjo1 Shouldn't forget that he is 63 years of age...

  • @bergjo1 Also, he is of German origin....and then...most spiritual adepts exhibit such calmness...many more reasons for the perceived "slowness" but nothing to do with staying in present...

  • @bergjo1 lol i noticed it too.. i think what you said is a good explanation. maybe he's just internalizing it, making sure he gives an accurate answer from his "true nature" versus his ego

  • Q: If I a love someone (big time), and I can't bare or dare to consider anything, anyone else, can you explain it to me without answers ?

  • We need to come together and seek the truth. Like one big organism, The only way we can achieve this, is by truth. We need to understand Our Nature, The Nature of the Universe, And the Nature of the mind, We are living in ignorance of the world around us, We need to open our eyes, before it's too late. We have tried everything else? I'm not looking for an Argument, I just want to share something inspired with you. Search ''truth contest'' on Google, Read the Present (universal truth).

  • wowzzza! thanks for bringing to my attention that thinking is indeed one of, if not the worst addiction in human kind... makes so much sense to me.

  • While watching this I had the sudden awareness that the reason I had trouble quieting my mind most of the time is because I wasn't allowing my thoughts to simply come and then go... without following that thought into the next one and getting lost in thought. I am now finding it a lot easier to become the silent observer of my mind.

  • I had to lose everything I was attached to, possessions, people, job; to realise I am what I have always been and I always will be.

"My perception of life had become like a meal served with food of the same colour and flavour until years past, I met Tolle."

  • It is so hard to stay present, especially when im outside, school etc =(

  • @iSkyttens

i try to use the noises commonly found outside to bring me back to "alert attention" such as the sound of a lorry, motorcycle as they are so noisy - this is a reminder and normally brings me back to presence for a few moments

  • I love his humor !

  • once you are aware of your thoughts you are aware! Its beautiful. Open to your senses, be aware of your breathing, of touch, sounds, vision and thoughts also and then notice the gaps between breaths, the silence behind the sounds and then suddenly you realise you weren't thinking, there was a space between thoughts, you simply rest in awareness. And this will evolve

  • The pseudo Self, wow!

  • He has read all the books, listen to the audio clips & watched the video clips but that is all he did. smh

  • but how may really get it. not thinking is thinking. letting go of the flow is presence

  • @dibble2005 Hia, a easy stepping stone to just stare into nature...or a flower, just let the colour and beauty fill you, like the air you breath. *Good *Luck! :O)

  • Oh *Eckhart is soooo right...to stop thinking, opens the doors of the endless reality of Mother Earth *love and beauty. :O))

  • Eckhart is awesome!!!! Thank you xx

  • He is soooo cuuuttteee

  • I would recomend this beings teachings to anyone who seek true pointers for easer paths in life. • and alas release the concept of addiction.

  • Shinzen Young talks about thought actually being a chemical addiction in the sense that pleasurable chemicals are released in the brain as a result of many types of thoughts (not necessarily pleasurable thoughts). I haven't heard other teachers mention this.

  • abandon even the thought that you must stay present and be as you are.

  • @hjotha oh now were talking

  • Addiction to satsang, addiction to Eckart, addiction to Mooji, addiction to thinking, addiction to questioning, addiction to addiction, addiction to Benjamin Smythe, addiction to answering, addiction to the process, addiction to concept...Oh My God, who am I? Addiction to awareness? Addiction to consciousness? Addiction to right now? Addiction to sharing? Addiction to sending love? Boh...
