While researching childhood starvation, looking at pictures I notice one thing in most of them... the malnourished child is always held by a healthy, robust mother. Why is this? If there is truly not enough food to feed the child, why are the mothers in such good shape? I would starve before I let my son starve. It seems to me it should be the other way around... a healthy robust child, & a malnourished mother.
