@doswebdev Sorry these videos were done 4 years back when the technology to smart zoom wasn't that prevalent. I should redo these for Drupal 7 one of these days.
You just show how you use taxonomy without explaining what it is and what it does and not showing instantly the effect it does for users. The screen got cut off through the entire thing. No need to repeat each term for each photo - just do one photo and show me what it does. I still don't get this mysterious module. I run 3 large drupal sites, non of which uses it and it doesn't seem needed at all.
Good point. Taxonomy as a tool isn't introduced at the start of the lesson. The viewer has no idea of what they can expect to achieve by the end of it.
Example: You take photos of airplanes. You can add Taxonomy to each photo using terms like Boeing, Airbus, Douglas, then 747, A330, DC10. You may also add Heathrow, JFK, Ankara. Now, your photos are searchable with these terms singly or in multiple selections. You might get no results having searched Airbus and DC10 since Airbus did not produce the DC10. Boeing eventually bought Douglas, so you might successfully search Boeing and DC10 depending how / when a site owner indexed his photos.
Before you try to teach things, learn how to set up your volume properly so that WE CAN HEAR.
thank you

Nice video, very useful. however I got a question
What if you want to filter by year and location at the same time?
Thanks

youtube dot com/watch?v=RUUq_pzsYFE is now an unlisted awesome video on taxonomy but I'm lucky to still have it. Hope it helps someone.

it reminds me of my university professors. you could only figured out what they were trying to say after you've already knew it.
