Actually, it stalled on the big turn after the cobra roll, so it was banked fairly steep but it wasn't fully upside down.

this ride is forever stalling!!! at least now they sorted the problem, by lowering a couple of the other hills, mainly the cobra roll and horseshoe turn, but they still shut it when its cold or windy, and in 2005 the seat restraints broken, so the trains went back to the factory to be fixed!!! but above all that, it is one of the largest SLCs!! so if you go to skeggy and its open go on it! best 4 quid you will ever spend!

djoiner2013: I'm sorry, but the same thing happens in America too. Take Deja Vu at various Six Flags parks for example. They always stall and can't complete the circut (go around the track). Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster don't complete the circut either, they sometimes rollback-several times a week! Also, this ride was imported from the Netherlands by Vekoma-they are the designers of the ride. Us roller coaster enthusiasts look down on you for your stupidness.

Most coasters ( including this one ) run on nothing but gravity after the lift hill. When trains are sent around empty they go a lot slower. Usually if the train doesn't have enough energy it'll roll backwards > forwards > backwards and after a while come to a stop. In some very very rare cases it will be perfectly balanced. This train on this SLC is longer than most coaster trains usually are, the longer the train the more likely it is that it can become perfectly balanced.

There are no mid-course brakes on this ride, the train stopped because there was either too much firction (not enough lubricant) or the wind was high, and stopped the train from gaing enough speed coming out of the previous inversion.

It's defiantely a test run, there is no one one it. You would see their feel. I've seen the ride seats in pieces so many times before.

This is at fantasy Island in, Ingoldmells they only have 2 major coasters.

I dare say one of the best coasters in the UK, a hidden gem, it's the first drop and the view I love. Just a shame it's closed a lot.

alot of times when i rollercoaster is first built it stalls when it tests because everything is still tight and new and not broken in yet so they have to work out all the kinks before it can be opened.

It didn't stall, the emergency remote safety brakes detected a problem and locked up, coasters are designed to do this so a train won't derail in the event of structural failure, there are sensors all over the ride that communicate with the train, they just happened to glich.

no, you're still talking out of your hole. emergency brakes did not cause the ride to stall - they don't exist. at any rate there are zero trims between the top of the lift and the horseshoe so the ride couldn't have possibly stopped because of "brakes". the ride notoriously stalled and valleyed because of the weather conditions.
