  • pretty stupid, but it was probably stolen because the trigger lock was cut off it.

  • Block the bore on a Glock or any high end gun, and I guarantee it will explode too. I think it just burns some people up that a $150 is more reliable and better made than the $500+ pieces of crap they bought to impress their friends and neighbors.. LOL

  • Doesn`t matter if it`s a $180 Hi Point or a $1200 Kimber, they all shoot the same ammo and if you can kill an intruder with either one. You guys are just pissed because the gun didn`t blow up as easily as you said it would. Kinda made you look bad didn`t it?

  • what was cheap about the cost of the pistol morons??? Im in good hands by GLOCK insurance

  • "The death of the Hi-Point, God, help us all!" OMFG, I was dying. The amount of pain this gun endured is unimaginable, but ultimately, redneckology prevailed in it's destruction. Good job!

  • see if factory will fix it and do i agin thats all their good for

  • One resounding question......Why? I personally dont plan on holding the muzzel of any gun up to the pad on a C-clamp..... Kinda cool explosion tho.

  • That's the best one since GT 03235's "improvement modification" lol...rest in pieces ya piece of shit!!!

  • cool man , now lets see that on a Gloc

  • I would agree with these other people. What is the point of destroying a perfectly good weapon? I mean really? Give it to some poor single mother who lives in a bad area. Give it to somebody's wife who works on the bad side of town because it's the only job she can get. Jeez guys that's ridiculous.

  • @jehjeh37111 I agree with you.

  • @jehjeh37111 If you look at their original video, this was an unsellable model because someone bubba-ed a trigger lock for it that required some major surgery to take off. Can't have a pistol without a trigger guard.

  • I wouldve taken that gun in a heartbeat.

  • ive shot about 900 rounds through mine and only had on jam because i didnt pull the slide right there great guns but there too UNDERrated

  • high i.q

  • about time you get it to blow up the guns work just fine if you clean it after you use it.

  • Skipit91, did you happen to notice the barrel was plugged? I am pretty sure even a glock whatever or a sig something, Ruger badass remington, winchester even an AK-47 or FN fal, M1 Garand (ask your grandad) or a Ma Deuce would blow up once the barrel is plugged. I have seen a 22lr barrel explode. Mythbusters is a cool show by the way. Just think a bit before you post.

  • the end of the video actually made the ugly hi point look good for once

  • aw shit what a waste

  • YEP ... GAWD DANG ... WE got us some REEE-UL MORONS here! Yep.... Dey jes toooooooo STOOOPID to EXIST... Dey Bes hang dey HAIDS over da nex one dey blows up! WHY Are SOME allowed to reproduce? MY GOD!!!

  • @DocShankle gaw daing raid nay-ecks. i think it is a freak of nature that nay-chu-ray-el see-leck-shyun aint taken care of america's hillbilly infestation yet.

  • @crazydriver1978 I think the rednecks need to take care of you. If it wasnt for those rednecks i dont think you would have much food on your yankee plate.

  • Author idiot. Let hold down his head between a vise, and the top hit on it with a sledgehammer. Quite fat with rage. Then, I think, no gun no longer suffer. Hi-Point C9 is very reliable, given its price.

  • Mythbusters aint got nutin on you guy's Adam & Jamie just blow shit up for the hell of it.

I think this Is a very responsible vidio to test the safety of not only the C9 but hand gun's in general

    Thumb's Up guy's

  • Hahaha kabooom! Should of blowned wit some c-4 to make it a lil more explosiony hehehe >=]

  • STUPID & USELESS video. How much CRACK did you smoke before doing this video anyway?

  • OK alot of people didnt watch the videos, the gun was purchased with a trigger lock and no keys, so the guys at the pawn shop chopped the trigger guard off of the gun, makeing it un sellable. So they decided to destroy the gun only they couldn't make it stop working, so after all the abuse, the gun was demed to be unsafe, so they shoved a bolt into the barrel triple charged it and clamped the action shut so all you gunsnobs would have an "actual" high-point kaboom!!

  • @420bailey they blew it up that way because it was otherwise indestrucitble

  • if the gun was unsafe, why would they put it on the market and also have a lifetime warranty on the gun? just asking.

  • he's gun he can do what ever he wants with it .next time if you don't like a gun let me have it .

  • i don't get it...so the gun exploded...that would happend to any gun if you block the barrel. what's wrong with hi point, they are made in the usa.

  • After everything y'all did to that poor gun, and the only way to stop it was to blow it up. Lol! I've owned a hi point for years and never once had a fail, these vids just explain why I own one... Also saw a lot of haters claiming you couldn't hit anything with it. Just to let y'all know, I have no issues hitting anything under 30 yards with it... Anything longer, you need a rifle or carbine for.

  • the only way you got it to explode was turning it into a bomb"

  • i hate hi-points but com'on blowing one up is unsafe and wastefull. i could understand if it was flawed in some way though.

  • i owned the same pistol and dont get me wrong, it works. you pull the trigger and it goes bang. not the most accurate pistol but it does work.. extremely cheaply made, however i had the safety on mine fail. not an ideal weapon for conceal-carry. as unsafe as the gun may have been, you could have saved a 50 cent bullet if you had just dropped it off at the local police station.

  • so.....did you take advantage of the lifetime warranty?

  • :(

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • So what kind of C clamp is that. Looks like it took the abuse pretty well. I want to get one

  • *redneck yells

  • even tho its a crap gun its still sad to see one die :(

  • haha the only thing there good for

  • People mad because they spent $500 on pistol when a $150 pistol is 95% as good.

Don't you see, in their mind the Hi-Point pistols MUST be complete junk or else they are idiots who paid 3x or 4x as much for something only marginally better.

Truth is they are a great economical pistol.

  • ROFL! The shit rednecks do to amuse themselves cracks me up!

  • What is the point of this exactly?

  • @the8jrfan Watch all the videos? I don't get it....The Mythbusters go all out if they can't get the result they want. We rendered the gun very unsafe in the 4 previous videos so I think blowing it up was actually the most responsible thing to do...

  • @Iraqveteran8888 yes I see that now

  • @Iraqveteran8888 you deemed it unsafe? tried to blow it up the only way you could get it to blow up was power powder down the barrel and c clamp it shut so there was no where for the explosion to go but out the sides. I would say after the "blue and red pills' and all the other stuff you did to the firearm it did very well. I would not call it unsafe.

  • and now that i look at the video paused i noticed it was broken wit no clip in it someone shot that highpoint with a rifle

  • @ATNent513 Absolutely. I paused the frame and zoomed way in. That gun was beat to shit and busted up before it was blown up. Stupid video and proves nothing.

  • of course somethings going to go wrong look at how its being fired wat a dick

  • I hear hicks screaming like that down the street at a bar every Friday and Saturday night, it seriously sounds exactly the same.

  • I'm sure your Desert Eagle .50 wouldn't have blown apart in the same test - hey, why don't you try it?

  • WOOHOO THATS WAY MORE FUN THAN HAVING 200ISH BUCKS

  • i would have rather seen it happen to a glock

  • What did your wife/sister say about this experiment?

  • Now do the same test with a Sig 9mm or any other 9mm of your choosing and watch it explode just the same ...sheer physics!

  • they sound like the farther and son from that cartoon the squidbillies lmao whooo yeaaah

  • stupid minds! :D

  • hi points are cheap, ugly, bulky guns. but i have never had any problems with mine. it has never jammed.its easy to disassemble and it was cheap. i paid 139 for mine. its a good gun to plink around with. but its the ugliest gun ive ever owned.if you want a gun and are on a budget the hi point is for you. if you want something that looks good buy a smith and wesson.

  • I think all the people who like to shit talk Hi-Points are the ones who think they know everything about guns but don't really know all that they think I have shot more than enough different hand guns and the Hi-Point shoots no different. Its very accurate, never jams, and is very reliable. The people who trash talk are the ones who mainly think that you have to spend boo koo dollars on a gun or its just a piece of crap, its 100% american made and has a lifetime warranty.

  • Finally that thing went across the Styx.

Seriously though, you've got to respect Hi-Points.

They're gun enough to send you to the ground dead as a stone.

  • And tomorrow we will rig a Toyota Pickup to crash into a brick wall at 80mph to prove what a piece of crap they are.

Geez. Is there any intelligence left in this country?

I was beginning to think there was hope for us. Obviously I was wrong.

  • As a former occupational health scientist, I liked the tests! Yes, it functions thru all the tests. Great. A further non-destruction test would be to hit the bottom of the grip AND also the muzzle with a rubber mallet to: SEE IF THE TWO ADDED SAFETIES THEY HAVE WILL PREVENT THE GUN FROM FIRING IF DROPPED. JUST PUT A PRIMED EMPTY CASE IN THE CHAMBER AND SEE IF YOU CAN MAKE IT POP, IN SAFE AND IN FIRE. I was going to do this, but you do good U-tubes, so go for it!

  • idiots

  • I never knew a gun could be that big of a piece of crap, lol, where is Sir Arthur Hi-point when you need him?

  • I would like to see a handgun that doesn't do that when you stick a bolt in the barrel.

  • YEEEEEHAAAAWWW!!!! REDNECKS....LOL

  • take it too a gun dealer!, "i think there is something wrong with this!"

  • Now that you have established you are a total moron, what possible contribution have you made to anything besides maybe the Toothless Hick Brotherhood????

Were those your relatives in "Deliverance"?

  • thumbs up if you realized it blew up bc it was in a vice and the slide couldnt operate

  • oh and the bullet had nowhere to go

  • And the "point" of this video is ?

  • hate piece of crap hp, think it should be illegal to make piece of crap guns...

  • @jewls323 you are an idiot..........

  • @jewls323 you are an idiot..........

  • @MrLink129 well from one idiot to the other you are a Richard .

  • @jewls323 i may be a dick but you are obviously stupid really sad to be your parents you fucking troll

  • @MrLink129 dick sucker

  • @MrLink129 listen you little fucktard stool , its my opinion ,covered by the 1st ...ps i will not respond to a micro minded child, if you dont like my comments dont read them.....

  • @jewls323 my friend had one of these.it shot flaulesly and i was surprised cuz i heard it was crap O_o seems like they make some crap, and some good lol

  • I do believe that's the best use of a hi-point I've ever seen!

  • Does this void the warranty?

  • I have a HP .40, S&W M&P .40, a SIG P250 .40 and .45, a SIG P239 .40 and a Ruger LCP .380 backup piece.

I'm not going to say that the HP is up to the quality of the other big bores, but it's reliable, accurate enough, and a running change to the trigger in 2010 was a major improvement.

For those not able to afford a SIG, S&W or Glock and if they aren't going to use hot handloads the HP is IMO a a good option, especially with their unconditional warranty.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 I am not a drug dealer, and I own a Hi-Point. I purchased it after I was laid off from the job I had and was forced to sell all my firearms. I went to college, and now I work in Public Saftey. and I am proud to say I still own and shoot my Hi-Point.

  • why not try that with a Ruger or Glock?? Its only money. Or maybe you could put a rag in your truck gas tank and light it. That would make a cool video.. Hey lets cut out the middle man. Just take all you money pile it up in the yard and pour gas all over it and put a match to it

  • Why would you sell it to a drug dealer.......just because you dont like the gun dont mean you have to blow it up or sell it to a drug dealer.... I dont see the connection.

  • Stupid!

  • dumb fucken rednecks!

  • No need for the clamp they do this own their own

  • Im tired of people bashing on Hi-Points. I have a C9 and its one of the most reliable pistols ive ever seen for the price that they cost. and of course it blew up u had the barrel completely blocked u dumbass. if u have nothing to do better then to destroy a great gun then send then to me. i want a twin for my C9 anyway.

  • @SlashingWolfOG yea hi-points cycle bullets, you dont need a good barrel, sights, trigger, or strong materials, you just need something thats claim to fame is it cycles! but it does do this! usually..

  • @SlashingWolfOG they don't have shit on a 1911 nothing beats a battletested

  • Seriously? Completely block the barrel on a 150 dollar gun and blow it up? How do you think they can sell a decent gun at a great price for if they are using the same materials as glock, sig or Springfield? I wouldn't mind owning a hi point as a matter of fact, I shot one and it did just fine. 100rds in 45 min with no jams. Btw, look at your vice now assholes...lmao!!!

  • The good thing is that you can send those pieces into Hi-Point, and they'll send you a new gun. Hi-Points have an unconditional warranty. A friend of mine took a video of him smashing his rusted out Hi-Point with a hammer to get a bullet casing out that had stuck in the chamber. Broke the slide in half. Sent it in to Hi-Point, got a new gun two weeks later.

  • I bet most of the people on here bashing hi point have never even held a pistol

  • @Hottrodpt LOL, yeah high-point sucks because it not on Call of duty! lol Honestly, they are good guns.

  • i hope you sent it to hi point to get that life time warranty be like. Said if you think this is bad you should see the guy that shot it. lol

  • Did the gun store give you a refund? Just curious... [lame joke alert]

Thumbs way up on your vids, guy, entertaining as hell.

On the serious side, this is a great training vid for gun newbies: always check the barrel for obstructions!

  • that would happen to any gun. sorta funny how people take there anger out on a cheap gun.

  • Rick says, "next time put your face next to it, dumbass, no chance of brain damage.

  • To all the dumb asses that are bitching about hi point pistols are just as good as glocks, or that you shouldnt knock the gun at all, you are a little dumb ass. I sold these hunks of shit like hot cakes here in southern Missouri and would just take their money and laugh all day long. I didn't want to carry them, but people asked and I sold them even with warnings. They are made of non ballistic polymer, low grade cast metal slides, horrible sites and trigger, they shoot like absolute shit

  • Would your favorite Glock have reacted differently?

  • That was awesome! Completely stupid, but cool to watch. Now do it with a Glock 19 and see if it can stand up to what you did to the HP.

  • If you never owned a c9, dont knock it. If your spending $600+ on guns, then whats $150 to at least get a hands on opinion? This is foe all those that talk crap about hi-point, and never owned one.

  • What a waste. It could of atleast been a paper weight before, now it is just garbage.

  • Just saying you can spend 160 on a hi point or 600 on a glock they both will have a few jams and the hi point is just as accurate maybe even a little more accurate I have shot both. I am not being negative on glock but a hi point just makes more financial sense

  • while you like making fun of the cheaper priced h-p's, are you yourself to CHEAP to try the same on a firearm double or tippled the h-p's price???

  • That's badass any handgun on the planet would have blown up after this I love hi point firearms and can't wait till I buy my new c9. To all the haters don't be mad cause you spent 600 on a glock and you could of bought a hp that does the same job and possibly does it better

  • @Hottrodpt

Enlighten me, what does a Hi-Point do better than a Glock?

  • @Slefnecko

    dont kill your bank account

  • @Hottrodpt "To all the haters don't be mad cause you spent 600 on a glock and you could of bought a hp that does the same job and possibly does it better"

ROFLMAO! I mean... ROFLMAO! Seriously? ROFLMAO! Possibly does it better? OMG! ROFLMAO!

Stop it really... (giggle) Let me get ahold of myself... (snicker)

I'm sure a gun made of ZAMAK 3 will hold up MUCH better than a gun made of forged steel coated with tenifer. Yesserie bob, you can tell by all those military/police folks using them. Yup.

  • if you ppl all watched to whole thing with all of the videos you would know that they had to cut the trigger lock off of the gun so the gun couldnt be resold.. and why not test the highs and the lows of the gun

  • What i got from these videos is that the gun was a well made-poorly designed gun, it took a lot to take it out of order for good

  • Try that with a Glock or S&W, I bet they won't blow up with a completely blocked barrel.

I bet you can't get those guns to blow up like that!

  • Nice explosion! She took everything you threw at her, but that was the last straw!

Are you guys going to torture test a more expensive gun anytime soon?

  • thumbs up if you think that no matter how cheap a gun is you should never destroy it.

  • @nblincoe Thumbs up if we should have left it together and sold it to some drug dealer so it could blow up in his hand when he tries to "pop a cap"

  • After everything you put it through I think it's obviously that it wouldn't have blown up in the drug dealers hand and instead he may have popped a cap in your ass. It's funny how hard you tried to break that gun and what you had to do to do it. Jealousy is a sad thing, maybe you should try all of that with a glock.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 hi point .380 is disturbingly accurate shooting sideways "gangster style" im only slightly less accurate than using the sights

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Thumbs up if you think most guns wouldn't blow up if you clogged the barrel with a metal clamp

  • @Iraqveteran8888 YEEEEEHAWWW MOTHERFUCKER! you showed that bitchass good with that total non sequitur attempt at sarcasm. keep on keepin the meathead poser and stereotypical hick brotherhood strong!

  • @nblincoe best part about this is it can be melted down and remade into a new gun...

  • any gun is gonna blow up if u do that to it.

  • To all the folks still calling this a POS. They had to CLAMP A BOLT INTO THE BARREL AND OBSTRUCT THE SLIDE TO GET IT TO FAIL. There is not a single automatic pistol in existence that wouldn't fail in these circumstances. In fact, Colt 1911 (the grand daddy of auto in America) service pistols were known to fail with frickin dirt in the barrel. This one survived having a cartridge HAMMERED into the barrel backwards and then firing. Post some videos of a Glock or Kimber surviving these tests

  • Of course it will blow up when doing that you fucking idiots.

  • finally all that testing and finally an exploding hi-point , i am going now to get one

  • Can you send it back for warranty replacement--LOL-thats one tough gun.

  • Hi Points are better than glocks. Glocks are women guns. Hi points are a man's gun.

  • @SupremeAmerican I'm gonna assume thats a joke.

  • @SupremeAmerican you gotta be retarded.

  • @japimportssuck Problem?

  • @SupremeAmerican from the post-catastrophic failure pics it appears that they tapped the barrel for a bolt to block the barrel... lmao.

    Hilarious!!!

  • @SupremeAmerican .... a poor mans gun, i carry a bitone xdm

  • @sugashane19844 Your XDM is frail and weak compared to the superb hi-point.

  • @SupremeAmerican well 8000 rounds later without a single ftf, fte, or fail to feed sprinfield armory would disagree with me.... but who know its not like springfields been around forever like hi-point!

  • you two remind me of damn stupid yankees

  • you idiots make me want to puke who's mental here its not me i dont go around blowing up guns thats is the most stupid thing ive ever seen too bad it didnt take the two of yu with the world is better off without idiots like you two in it

  • whatin the world are you taking about ?? & i would choose my words more carefully if i were you who ever you are

  • @trapper5000 whoever you are indeed. youtube has a "reply" function for a reason.

  • that was excellent i think ill buy a high point of each caliber ao i can try that. funny stuff.

  • @joshuapbd you are a big of a idiot as those other two asshole

  • @trapper5000 oh come come now little man its no different than shootin up an old car or a crash derby or something. look at it this way those CHEAP little gun can take a real beating.btw let me guess you own a highpoint dont ya.

  • Thanks, I can't even afford that, but I guess it was worth 120$ to do that. Sarcastic of course.

  • That was the stupid thing ive ever seen done 2 a hi point or any other gun man thats just fu.... stupid on ur behavf .

  • @trapper5000 Your clear grasp of the English language certainly illustrates your mental superiority here...

  • i recon you's could rebuild it

  • WOOOO YEAAAHAW WE ARE THIS BORED YAAAAAAAAA

asinine. Why would you guys destroy an AMERICAN MADE firearm? I would never think to do this to my highpoint regardless of how much wear is has.

  • hahahahah gehen die vol ab

  • You are what's wrong with america.

  • Well ofc it's gonna blow up you morons....try that with any gun and you will have a massive critical faliture. Kinda fed up with people racking on the Hi Point and saying it's crap compared to a Glock etc. For 100$ it's a great little gun...

  • seems like a waste

  • @danielsale87 Hey norwegian lady. Can you keep it down? America is busy playing golf on the moon. Maybe when you silly europeans evolve you can speak with us. Until then you are at our mercy.

  • Comment removed

  • Finally! After torture that would have destroyed many guns, this HP survived it all! I will remember to not shoot an assailant with a clamped in bolt driven into the breech! RIP little C9, you went through hell and back and ended life with your head held high!

  • Comment removed

  • fuck hi-points

  • @kin9p fuck u!

  • and what did we learn... Pot metal sucks

  • wat the hell? why?

  • A 1911 wouldn't do that

  • @chadreedfan221 yes it would any gun would if put under that much pressure

  • @chadreedfan221 Until you do the same test on one that's a claim that can't be substantiated.

  • @twobluehorses It is made of steel,I think im right

  • @chadreedfan221 Here we have a vid that provides evidence that the Hi-Point is sturdier and more reliable than most of us assumed it to be. Until we can see a 1911 equal or surpass the same destructive test "think I'm right" isn't good enough. BTW, I've shot and carried the 1911 for pleasure and work for 30 years so I know it's a fine pistol. I was surprised to see the Hi-Point perform as well as it did.

  • It's a plastic fantastic, what did you expect?

  • So that's what it takes to blow up the "poor man's glock" eh?
