i prefer chevy's. i drive a ford ranger and one thing breaks after another. all of my buddy's drive chevys/gm's and only one of them ever had a problem. the transmission broke on it. the old fords are nice. but the new fords aren't as good as the new chevy's. trucks breaking depends on the driver more than the actuall truck too.

she has been taken care of as far as oil and regular checkups...i love my truck for this reason and this reason alone...the amazing power and rugedness it displays. pullin loads larger that its supposed to laughin at me like "is this all you got"..going offroadin. ive only been stuck once and had to get our dozer to pull me out...... the truth is, is that when ford says "built ford tough"......they mean it.. they stick but their products and their consumers like no other company..

like a d5 dozer on a 35' goose, and 18 6'rolls of hay down the interstate doin 75. i have yet to replace anything. however i have added a banks 6gun and intake, done some work to the turbo and 5 in stacks for a little extra power and fun whenever i want. even the old 5sp tranny still works great no slippage with the big loads i never have to force it into 4wd...and i have ran the piss out of that truck racin and pillin loads and sometimes put her up dirty, but when it comes down to it.........

chevy and dodge parts because there are more of them around in junkyards and so-on. and i know for any ford owner its hell to get new or used parts becuase they are more exspensive, but in my family we have had over 6 ford pickups and not one of them broke down not my brothers old ranger or mine that we sure ran the hell out of, nor my fathers old 71 f100, his 97 f150, or his 01 powerstroke. i sold my old ranger and stepped up to 96 f250 with over 400k on it and still after towing huge loads....
