a shakuhachi price range is $50 (US) to $5000 (US) the plastic ones can be under $100! but a nice beginner bamboo one is usually $150.....

depends. It seems like professional models go for $2000-3500. Intermediate and good beginner models go for 400-1000. I'm looking at getting a plastic one called shakuhachi yuu that is $125 i think.
