If you can design a motor out of magnets, why don't you design yourself a video recording device that produces better quality than your calculator your using there?
Just for the non physics ppl here. It is possible to have one side always more attracted than the other. However, that is not sufficient reason for it to move. It would only move if the motion caused a net loss in energy, which it doesn't because the screw pattern keeps repeating. If the movement causes no overall change then there is no reason for it to move.
As you can see, it only moves initially when pushed and stops at a local minimum when the momentum runs out.
The underling premise is flawed but I am still impressed by the human creativity needed to keep the flawed concept evolving. When I was young adult a man in a shed behind my rented room had a gravity contraption made from arms and lead weights. He would never tire of lifting the arm and letting fall, --always expecting it to continue to move. I think there is mental illness involved.
But you have obviously crossed the line of honesty. You cannot escape the first law.
Just imagine what it would be like to have the power in your house to run everything, electric furnace, electric water heater, electric car in your garage, this is definitely something to look into!

Not a physics fail. This is not free energy. Magnets omit an energy converting it to kinetic is not FREE energy. You need the magnets to create the motion. This is a good idea. Needs to be tweeked and perfected. Someday all this skepticizm will be remedied the same way the combustion engine was considered un-likely. I do however agree that there may be a slowing down. If so there only needs to be a slight motivactional source to continue its motion. I am certain will result in overunity
@RavenMad101 - there may have been scepticism about the internal combustion engine, but it didn't break any laws of physics. Magnetic motors don't emit energy so they can't power anything. Think of magnets acting like springs where the force to compress or stretch them is recovered and there is no net gain. No one will ever get over unity out of a magnet motor.
It just has low friction, so it will spin a couple times, but ultimately it will always stop. The magnets are attracted more to the larger part of the screw, but as the larger part of the screw moves away from the magnets, they want to pull it back and so you do not actually gain any energy.
I am no expert but I believe that like Newton said, "Energy can neither be created nor destroyed" so the energy output from a magnet can never be higher than the amount of energy put into magnetizing it in the first place. So although this seems to be free energy for the consumer, like a battery, magnet must be charged up first and that energy must have a source.

Sorry. It doesn't work. What you see is a small energy input from the guy who starts the spinning, followed by a gradual but irregular slowing down, as this initial energy is dissipated as friction with the air and bearing. No perpetual motion. Sorry, but all the magnets do is make this motion a bit irregular while the initial energy dies. The magnets behave a bit like springs, adding and THEN TAKING energy during the spinning, hence the irregular spinning during the slowing down.
If yuo make brushed motor with 99 precents efficienty without magnets, with electro magnets, then replace electro magnets with neodinum magnets and yuo get. can say. about 105 efficienty motor.

Have you ever thought to get cone magnets instead of the screws and try that? I am 100% sure it will work better and spin much more, thus more energy and the easiest setup possible. @Alexeriks1 True, you can never give more than you take, but you can use something that's already there to provide you with the energy. A lot of people are so focussed on burning fossil fuels for energy that they can't see past anything else because they can't SEE the transferred energy (burning creates flame, flame = hot, hot makes water hot, boils, steam creates pressure, movement). But with something like magnets, they can't explain what makes a magnet work, and thus the whole disbelief ;)

The reason why people see magnet motors as "perpetual motion machines" is because the magnet's lifespan would outlive its creator under ideal circumstance, giving it the perception that it's perpetual. With friction and that little fact, you will never be able to produce a perpetual motion machine, but very close to it and hopefully clean, renewable energy
This is one of the more informative videos out there, but like legitfreek said, "free energy" is just a buzzword people are using. This is by no means free energy. Nor is it perpetual as the magnets will lose their magnetism (after a couple of hundred years under perfect conditions). However, this might be the right step towards clean, renewable energy and might just be possible. Good luck in your design. Would love to see this power something at least ;)

So far not even ONE person said they can show me a real working motor, just links to videos of non working motors or just flat out scams.

You cant turn automatically to the next screws, cos the screws you're passing are pulling back with exactly the same force. Turning, offsetting, bending or using more or less screws/magnets wont change a thing :)

@jonnyasprin Going off the newtons law you stated, you're wrong. The friction from the air and weight on the bearing stopped the motor, but it had already built up some energy. Now that means it just isn't going to simultaneously stop once he takes the magnets away from the motor. It took that second or two for the friction to stop it.
This device should not work due to the fact that when one of the neodymium magnets pulls a screw head the previous magnet tries to keep it's screw from leaving, thus canceling the forces.

Well... figuring this is a fake, isn't there still a way to do it?
For example, using four super magnets (1 on each side) that are mechanically moved to and away from the round object that contains a large metal piece. As the magnets are moved to and away, there would be a larger attraction on metal piece on a single side that would cause the round object to rotate. If done properly, the spinning object would create enough energy to power the mechanism that moves the magnets and maybe more.
Place a magnetic coil with an AC field and redirect the lines of force with the piece of metal on the table. The eddy currents induced in the screws can make it try to "squirm" out of the changing magnetic field, causing turning. Many electronic motors work this way.
simple cut out a piece of sheet metal like the screw in a triangle put a magnet at the point and wacth what happens, it will rool or slide to the larger side but there is no way it will start at the large end and go to the thin end do some test you will see, i mysself work onppm all the time as a hobby and will never lie or fake something to make ppl think its true or not... because of the law phisic as writen now it wont but one day i hope to fix those laws

There are so many lies out there, i would't be surprised if the second law of termodynamics isn't really that "fix". However, if anybody is ever going to build a working PMM, he will be in great danger, since many (oli and uran) billionairs would try to kill him asap. Best would be to publish it to the public, declare it public domain, instead of trying to get a patent. Clean alternative Energy isn't patentable anyway, these days, due to global warming etc.
i agree i work everyday on PMM i got tons of ideas but can only work so fast on them but i bet you once i do make a working one i will be rich not hunted by any one. plan and simple we will still need oil for its other products made from it.

Sorry. It doesn't work. What you see is a small energy input from the guy who starts the spinning, followed by a gradual but irregular slowing down, as this initial energy is dissipated as friction with the air and bearing. No perpetual motion. Sorry, but all the magnets do is make this motion a bit irregular while the initial energy dies. The magnets behave a bit like springs, adding and THEN TAKING energy during the spinning, hence the irregular spinning during the slowing down.

Have you ever thought to get cone magnets instead of the screws and try that? I am 100% sure it will work better and spin much more, thus more energy and the easiest setup possible. I don't have the time or money to try it! Please if anyone is trying it out let me know of the consequences , and reply to this comment. @Alexeriks1 True, you can never give more than you take, but you can use something that's already there to provide you with the energy. A lot of people are so focussed on burning fossil fuels for energy that they can't see past anything else because they can't SEE the transferred energy (burning creates flame, flame = hot, hot makes water hot, boils, steam creates pressure, movement). But with something like magnets, they can't explain what makes a magnet work, and thus the whole disbelief ;)

@Alexeriks1 Permanent Earth Magnets are used, you're thinking of Electrico Magnets. However, I do agree with most of your statement though. The reason why people see magnet motors as "perpetual motion machines" is because the magnet's lifespan would outlive its creator under ideal circumstance, giving it the perception that it's perpetual. With friction and that little fact, you will never be able to produce a perpetual motion machine, but very close to it and hopefully clean, renewable energy

This is one of the more informative videos out there, but like legitfreek said, "free energy" is just a buzzword people are using. This is by no means free energy. Nor is it perpetual as the magnets will lose their magnetism (after a couple of hundred years under perfect conditions). However, this might be the right step towards clean, renewable energy and might just be possible. Good luck in your design. Would love to see this power something at least ;)

@jymmyjaymes No, because the magnet needs to be "lead" down a path which the tail ends provide, otherwise it would just get stuck on the first screw head... or at least make one or two rotations before stalling.

so i just thought of a work around that would supply you with nearly limitless energy, all you have to do is use a small amount of intelligently organized energy to simulate an endless supply. The universe as a whole would seem to be a perpetual motion machine, so all we need to do is create our own universe of which we have total control. This could be done by scanning each individual atom in a brain and identically reconstructing it virtual space.

Most foundations actively seeking working free energy devices are not out to help produce them to help the public but are seeking to keep them off the market. Almost always trying to buy the "rights" to the device with the promise of a "reward". Better to post the device so as to allow all to see and let everything take its course. It is greed and corrupt profit seeking that has kept this technology from us for the last 100 years. Time to put a stop to it and freely spread the technology.

The rules are simple:
1. It can be made from cheap parts
2. It does NOT have to be well finished

So far not even ONE person said they can show me a real working motor, just links to videos of non working motors or just flat out scams.

Do you people know how much there still is unexplained in science? Scientists don't even know how ice skating works fully, and by this I mean they have yet to find an explanation as to how exactly the blade glides through the ice; they have disproved the fact that water on top aids in gliding, the only thing we know is that blades can move across ice. So who's to say this is explainable by science?

You cant turn automatically to the next screws, cos the screws you're passing are pulling back with exactly the same force. Turning, offsetting, bending or using more or less screws/magnets wont change a thing :)

@jonnyasprin Going off the newtons law you stated, you're wrong. The friction from the air and weight on the bearing stopped the motor, but it had already built up some energy. Now that means it just isn't going to simultaneously stop once he takes the magnets away from the motor. It took that second or two for the friction to stop it.

This device should not work due to the fact that when one of the neodymium magnets pulls a screw head the previous magnet tries to keep it's screw from leaving, thus canceling the forces.

Well... figuring this is a fake, isn't there still a way to do it?
For example, using four super magnets (1 on each side) that are mechanically moved to and away from the round object that contains a large metal piece. As the magnets are moved to and away, there would be a larger attraction on metal piece on a single side that would cause the round object to rotate. If done properly, the spinning object would create enough energy to power the mechanism that moves the magnets and maybe more.

Place a magnetic coil with an AC field and redirect the lines of force with the piece of metal on the table. The eddy currents induced in the screws can make it try to "squirm" out of the changing magnetic field, causing turning. Many electronic motors work this way.

simple cut out a piece of sheet metal like the screw in a triangle put a magnet at the point and wacth what happens, it will rool or slide to the larger side but there is no way it will start at the large end and go to the thin end do some test you will see, i mysself work onppm all the time as a hobby and will never lie or fake something to make ppl think its true or not... because of the law phisic as writen now it wont but one day i hope to fix those laws

There are so many lies out there, i would't be surprised if the second law of termodynamics isn't really that "fix". However, if anybody is ever going to build a working PMM, he will be in great danger, since many (oli and uran) billionairs would try to kill him asap. Best would be to publish it to the public, declare it public domain, instead of trying to get a patent. Clean alternative Energy isn't patentable anyway, these days, due to global warming etc.

I made a small version when I was a kid. It didn't work (of course) and I realised some time after then why it wouldn't.
I hope you are not having a shot at me because I'm stating that these devices can't work. You may be working on one but all it is going to teach you is that they can't work.
All this stuff about getting the shielding right and the angle of the magnets correct is just so much rubbish.

YouTube is FULL of videos that claim free energy magnet motors that work! And this one is no different. NONE of them work. They only appear to work because the guys who waste their time building these things MAKE them spin with hidden wires, batteries, air jets, or whatever. All that free energy crap is just that.... A bunch of CRAP! WC Field said it best: There's no such thing as a free lunch!
