The guide said his ghost was well known for playing tricks on people, but never hurt anyone. According to the guide, one man yelled out loud next to the infamous door #13, "I'll only beleive in Pedder's silly ghost if I can see or touch him myself!" As they left the area, the man felt something like a hand, brush his cheek. When they came up the stairs his wife was shocked to see a large, greese smudge along his cheek. And of course, John Pedder's job was to greese the shafts in shaft alley.
I'm new to the whole youtube thing, but do you think you could email a copy of the original pictures to me? I have a bunch of ghost pics downloaded if you'd like to trade a few.
I didn't see the face until I downloaded the shots into my computer. The original photos are very clear, but I think YouTube's video compression causes a huge loss in clarity. I was completely shocked when I enlarged the main photo, and saw this anomaly staring right at me!
Light does some amazing things to video..gotta love science!

I saw a ghost in shaft alley not too far away from door 13. He ended up looking at me for a couple seconds and then just disappeared.
I would like to know where you found that picture of John that a guest drew. I've been looking for anything on him and can't find a thing!

Queen Mary back in 1966.....Johns head hair is not spiked. I have visited the Queen Mary a few times I've
seen the ghost of Mr Pedder in the engineroom and Pool Area.
