I was given the Roar record (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Theme Music) when I was 13 years old by a Australian (I think) guy who lived in our street. I'm racking my brain trying to think of his name, but it was 30 years ago!! He worked in the music industry in production and had something to do with the soundtrack.
Anyway I've just found it again but can't play it as I don't have a record player, so I was pleased to be able to listen to NCHI YA NANI on you tube.
Oh my goodness gosh - when I was 14 this was my FAVOURITE song - I had a cassette tape I'd taped off the radio - a C60, and the entire cassette was this song over and over. When I found it just now I was almost too scared to hit play in case it wasn't as wonderful as I remember from my youth - but I STILL have tears in my eyes now listeneing to it almost 30 years later. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING!!!!
Is that you on the pictures in Africa? I am just stunt - I think I need a drink to revive myself. Like I said if this is you singing what a glorious voice, what a gift . I feel I must have lived on the moon not to have heard of you.
Tausend Dank, Tina. That is me with the animals--gulp--with whom I lived for a year. You weren't living on the moon; perhaps just not yet living at all! It was 1981. In Deutschland in '82.

Hello Mr.Florczak,
