  • i got a bearcat 210xl does anyone know how to put the numbers in

  • Contact me! I can send you a manual for it!

  • @KC8YOQ Hi bud, do you have the manual fro the Uniden Bearcat 800XLT?

  • I have that same scanner, I purchased it when my buddy dink passaway to remember him Channel 18 oaklawn area

  • Those Bearcats were nice with the VF display that could be seen day or night. This is one with continuous tuning from 800mhz to 912mhz (the downverter just converts it to 400mhz to 512mhz inside). It is a very well built unit. I bought mine new in the box for $300 in 1986 and still use it every day.

  • I built a muilty freq transmiter and tap it into the scanner .its to much mods to put on here that i did tot he scanner to work with the transmitter lol.

The project was just a project no rilly use just for fun.

  • I mod one my scanner to transmit on most the freqs I put in. I can transmit on the police but I nere tryed it nerver will same with any resure or govment law.But i did transmitt on the very small private plaines but co jets any thing to dangrouse.

whats fun is going to the stores using stalker to find there radios and key up on them with it lol.

  • DON"T beat yourself up! Your "Shopping Cart" antenna mount is JUST FINE!! I won't tell the stores or cart retrieval vendor where your QTH is!

  • Nice Video! Well done!

  • Analog is still in use, and will be for quite some time. Digital systems are expensive.

  • i got the roye 1-621 base along with a uniden washington / midland

  • we used to have a uniden bearcat like yours, but a little older and troublesome. i believe it dated back to 1981?

it really sucked because it died, then our police changed over to digital signals...which the scanner couldn't pick up.

  • I have a Bearcat 800XLT right next to my bed and listen to it often. I noticed that it is starting to show ERROR messages on some channels and lose frequencies. Maybe it just needs new AA batteries.

They were promoted in the DAK catalogs as being the last scanner made with the intact 800mhz. Of course, cell phones were analog back then so you could listen in on people! I remember that they stated that it was "...rude and illegal to easedrop." LOL

  • I got the police scanner from a flea market, the guy used to sell older electronics but he is not around anymore.

  • @prs0889 I LOVE flea markets, you can get cool stuff for next to nothin!!!!!!!!!

  • I love your antenna lol. Where did you get that police scanner from?

  • Great demonstration...we have used a 5-gallon plastic can filled with cement as a base for an antenna mast and it seemed to work pretty well.
