finally got to fly mycarden yak a month ago for the first time with the dl 50 and a 23*10prop great combo just cant put it down now espes with the good weather we have had lately.
I have a similar Yak-54, but a bit smaller ( 85" x 80.5") and I have also equipped it with DL-50. I haven't still flown it, but mine weighs about the same 16.8-17.0 lbs. dry. So, please could share a bit of comments regarding the pulling power of the DL-50 in a hover and is the vertical flight path unlimited?
got a dl50 in mine takeing it up the local patch when the weather clears a bit for engine run in and hopefully first flight i cant wait, fell in love with this model first time i clap eyes on it on you tube, just had to get one !!!
RPM is around 6800 but it's not run in yet. It's had maybe a gallon through it so far but it's such a great engine and pulls this YAK around at half throttle :)

She died today in a mid air.
But I have to say a 22 X 10 3 Blade would have been better than the 20 X 10.
I have another Yak on it's way and I will try a 22 X 10 and let you know.

It pulls great and as my DL-50 is new it's actually getting better.
It will just keep going up, with the right prop of course.
I've only just got her out the mothballs and flew again the other day. Totally awesome :)
