Most of Laibach's work is sampled, but they do it really well, perhaps to convey that we do not create in making art, rather that we reshuffle samples of memory to make new things. I remeber as a fan of this album watching The Omen part 4 and recognising the music on this album (5.40 on this upload) It's really great what they have managed to do with the music; really rousing song and, if I had to choose, my own highlight of the entire album.
W tym wypadku słowo kunszt nabiera właściwej sobie barwy (mam gdzieś jeszcze kasetę z tym materiałem w dolby "C") - porusza do głębi i rozpala wyobraźnię - ponadczasowa robota dla mnie.
I didn't really want to upload the whole lot. The idea of these videos was just to give people who hadn't heard this before a taster of what the music is like. You can always buy the cd if you like what you hear...
This is defenitely not " written" for the play mcbeth. The album is just a collection of phrases from soundtracks of adventure and horrorfilms. How can something be "written" by using a phrase from a few seconds from a Jerry Goldsmith album ? It is a good sample work with phrases from Omen, Carrie, Omen 2 , Tourist trap and more movies. I am a collector of soundtracks and there are only such samples in it !!
Ok, ok. The music was intended to accompany a stage production of the play however, was it not? Perhaps ''written'' was the wrong word to use (if you are indeed correct) but I've not been able to find out much solid info about the album so I'm not an expert on it.
@smithdream There are some strings and piano rolls, also sme sounds and athmospheres, I can say that all orchestral loops and pianos you can hear are samples of these soundtracks.You can hear the same phrases looping again and again and all that are samples, . Laibach is not able to pay a full orchestra , so they use that samples. So, it is a collage of foreign material, but i like it too . I am working the same way with my own music.

This music talks. It has words without using them, it has fingers to touch, it has eyes, bones, flesh... blood! Krvava gruda... rodna zemlja...

Zgadzam się całkowicie z tkapuscinskim, końcówa jest po prostu rewelacyjna. Cała płyta to aranżacyjny majstersztyk.

@andreasbreitenreiter
That's very interesting.
Which bits are sampled?
I've had this album for years and didn't know this.
