If your E60 is not reprogrammed to play MP3 audio, then you cannot use the Dension Gateway system or even the BMW IPod interface. Dealer must retrofit MP3 compatibility.
btw does Dension 500 and mp3 works in 2004 bmw e60 or i have to upgrade some of the car electronics and as i see you had to remove your cd changer for the installation.
